Thinking of end-game players who have already 100% basically everything in the game: There are some weeks or even months, when it is extremely dry. We literally don't have enough content to use the energy given in game and have revives and other items go to overflow / have to sell them because there is not enough content to use them.

Other times like this month, it seems like the stars align, and multiple pieces of endgame content come out, along with solo Colosseum, and other drains on energy, and need for consumables (skill/planning/caring/roster dictate of course how many).

In the past Kabam cautioned players to not rust to complete these things day one and take our time and enjoy it. It is permanent content... and that there isn't a rush.

Now however, the culture/message seems to have shifted. It might not exactly be the "do it early and park at the boss" that some players do, but there are now many non-cosmetic rewards, such as rare champions chase pieces, and ascensions, if we get it done quickly.

Couldn't we plan just a little more in the calendar, and not have several pieces of longer form permanent (including various levels of "end game" content) / energy burning content all drop at the same time / within a week, and then probably not having anything again for another 6 months when 10.1 (or whatever its branded as) comes out?

I do like how the Carena's challenges rolled out over time... I'm not saying it we should get something of that difficulty every week... but having more things like this would go a long way. Sure, hitting someone with a hammer is a fun lark (I think something was missed, not using M.P., and hurling the opponent into a pit of goblins), but I'd much rather a more consistent stream of content.
