Well, one can dream. I don't see it happening.

Unfortunately because we exist in a game state where content is too easy, revives are too accessible, and we can get units just by looking at arena funny, things are only going to get more expensive if anything.

Not much at all.

They decide the pool.

They decide the releases which are frustrating and slow as hell.

We need to obtain the right catalysts to rank them up.

And we usually wait a long time to pull high value champions and we have lower chances at getting them than we do now. When Photon was still relatively new, players had maybe 1-3 shots at her in the titan crystal, not 15-20 like many do now.

Ascensions are a new rarity and the old pain points come back because it has to. If class and champ tokens were gone and we only had generic dust with no limitations, it wouldn't be a new rarity at all and literally nothing to chase for except dust and also Kabam would bleed money from it.

I didn't like ascension at all and still have frustrations but it brought an entirely new chase that I'm starting to enjoy and that's a good thing. How boring would it be for players if the next 11 ascension levels only involved dust? No class tokens, no champ tokens, just dust. It would suck and Kabam would get slaughtered in sales, or they'd REALLY have to monetize it.

What they're doing is good and we should give it a chance. I'm NOT a fan of super whales always being 2 ascensions ahead but that's another topic.

Because even if they choose the pool, it wasn't enough for them , they wanted to get rid of the choice of who you decide to rank up among their decided pool and make it all RNG,
