Re: Alright now... Sentry or Blue Marvel ?
I hate how Sentry loses charges if he's KO'd. I used him in that new AQ mode we had a couple of weeks ago and while things went swimmingly for quite a while, I then lost all of my ramp when I went up against a defender that I struggled with. Then I had to re-ramp him up fully again. It was such a pain. I don't understand why losing charges is even a thing in his kit. It makes him a really bad option for hard bosses at the end of any kind of endgame quest since he just becomes worse and worse as you try to get them down, which is weird for a champ that requires so much ramp-up to begin with.
I recently used him for a path in Epoch since I wanted to practice fighting Ares again (and because I hadn't done the Epoch on my alt account). While he worked wonderfully for that path, I ultimately had to go with a different champion altogether for the Ares fight since I knew Sentry would suck against him if I had to revive up even a couple of times. It's just so silly.
I only just got Blue Marvel (and have him unawakened as of now), so I am not really in a position to compare them accurately. However, just based on how their respective ramps works, I really like Blue Marvel's a whole lot more. Even if his damage state (can't remember its specific name) ends, the ramp-up to get there again isn't that bad. Certainly not compared to if you need to re-ramp Sentry.
It's difficult to say which champ is objectively better, though, especially without knowing exactly what OP wants to use them for. I suspect that Sentry is better for something like Coliseum (since he can ramp up to full in that one fight and also can't lose it), while Blue Marvel could (potentially) be the better questing champion for tricky endgame fights since he can't lose the ramp he gains from fight to fight. But I can't say for sure.
Re: Server Maintenance coming
Its been a REALLY long time since we had server maintenance.
Re: Server Maintenance coming
I remember server maintenance being a weekly thing we had to plan for when I was in an alliance doing aq and war
Re: Is it time to have a discussion about the ability to have multiple teams??
Apparently I did fail to understand, since I'm the only one who commented before you posted this. 🤣
Now I get it though, and it sure as hell would make sense to have it so you can at least auto fight dailies if you don't have time for whatever quest you're currently in.
Re: Great more unintentional Nerfs 😑
to be fair to your forum adversary, they didn’t explain this very well. You just have an exceptionally strong grasp of the detailed mechanics.
In the announcement, they introduced a new super category of effects - echo - which no one has ever seen. And it’s meant to collect a diverse, sometimes strangely named collection of other effects that they don’t characterize very well. I can forgive players for not having a really clear understanding of echo vs burst, etc. They also could have done more to explain why Gentle and SS were called out specifically.
A question for you though — do you see this as a nerf to glancing champs?
Re: Over a week has passed since the Titan updated…
Its quite telling you conveniently left out Pavitrs real name compared to the others and instead insisted on calling him Pakistani. Do you ever think before you speak?
Re: Over a week has passed since the Titan updated…
Heimdall's another ramp character, building buffs, converting them into permanent buffs via heavies, using SP1s. His main damage source is the SP2 with the resonance energy damage
Re: Is it time to have a discussion about the ability to have multiple teams??
Actually, this is a suggestion that has come up repeatedly over the years. I myself have made it in the past, and I think it is something that makes sense for the long-form end game content specifically.
A lot of players don't want to engage with the long-form content because it locks them into it for potentially long periods of time when they can't do any other quest content. While some people might literally lack the time to do it, even more people theoretically have the time, but aren't able to focus on it consistently and knock it out all at once. It took me two days to get through the Gauntlet when it first came out, and four days to get through Necropolis, pacing myself through it. A lot of people probably could do that stuff but refuse to get stuck in it.
Some people might say that the length and need to focus on in continuously for extended periods of time is part of the challenge of it, but I would argue that there is no actual time limit for that content, the only limitation is locking players out of other quest content while it is being run. Whether that penalty makes sense in the modern game is something I think is questionable.
Different game modes have their own roster locks. You can do quests and AQ at the same time, because it would be an enormous penalty to force players to choose one or the other. I would place all of the long-form end game content into its own group that could be run independently of other content. You could only do one of them at a time, but you could do them while doing other things including normal quests. And this is not even a novel idea as this already exists: the Crucible already operates in this way. You can do Crucible at the same time as normal quest content. The question is only whether other content deserves similar treatment.
Re: Is it time to have a discussion about the ability to have multiple teams??
For those that failed to understand, OP means that if you're currently in some Everest content quest, but just want to lazily (actually, as we all do, just AUTO-PLAY) the Daily Quests when we got some energy, to knock out the DSE and simple Daily rewards).
You maybe don't have the “time” to commit to concentrating back on the Everest quest you're still in.
And even when you might have some time to devote, you don't want to feel like it HAS TO BE continuing the Everest quest, just because otherwise you're Energy-Locked at 70. Versus using the little concentrating time you have on a little bit of BG, or doing your AW fights, etc.
Just let us use out max'd energy for some other non-focused background quests. (while our position remains in the Everest quest too).
I’d say only 2 MAX quests, since otherwise you could have unfinished quests all over the place.
