Re: Yet another video on how bad 7* ascension is
I don’t either, I’m just saying this isn’t necessarily mob mentality, the whole ascension situation is just balls in general.
Re: So no uproar on Kabam REMOVING the one piece of content we can consistently obtain revives from??
I've brought it up like a few weeks earlier whennit was announced in the livestream... it's essentially taking out a big chunk of the soul of this game. Clearly now people are finally realizing that its going away when theres like 10 days to go.
I honestly don't care that people farm it for revives, but I agree that it is another reason to not remove since farmable quests are hard to come by after the previous story quests are being revamped too that were farmable areas.
I've had all of the back issues 100% on both difficulties for awhile and it's basically saying that all the time, effort, and energy refills (an excessive amount for Volume 1 in particular) spent on these quests are disappearing like a snap from Thanos. Not too mention all the revives and health potions used when they were like Everest content when they were released. You try and tell me that Volume 8 was a cake walk when it first came out.
Even today, most players would not be able to handle some of these variant quests, so why the heck are we getting rid of it. Yes the rewards are outdated, but there also hasn't been a new Volume in at least 3 years...
@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex @KabamPinwheel theres another post I created, but like if you are going to go against the wishes of the players, at least give us something to commemorate the fact that some players were foolish enough to 100% all of these before this "idea" to remove it. I completely think it is foolish and is a disrespectful move to players that did 100% these and also disrespectful to the game to remove some of its history and basically pretend that it never existed.
Y'all can say it will be reconsidered to bring back these in the future, but to be honest, I'm calling baloney on that, because there hasn't been a new Volume in years. I think its just a move that will offend and infuriate a lot of players, and then something will be introduced with hopes that it distracts players long enough to forget that it even got removed a few months later.
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
@Kabam Crashed i can tell you one positive change you could make to ascension. Drop the grace numbers. I’m sure you have seen my couple of posts already. I literally had to go through the full grace 120 crystals x 2 to pull Mr fantastic twice from that “grace”. When i waste the units, time, resources, etc and I still have to go through a full 120 crystals to pull the same champ twice(and a sucky one at that) I’m royally peeved and ready to walk almost like a lot of people who have been here since launch date like me or close to it. You’re driving away the people who have bee n here through the whole process of growth from day 1 to now. I do appreciate that you acknowledged this gentleman’s thoughts like you did way back when I had my big write up. It shows someone is listening and I’ve seen it get slightly better, but on just certain subjects and threads. We need an engaging mod team like we had with Jax. Bring Jax back. lol. That man right there was your best representation of what the team could be. Keep writing your diaries crashed. I read them all. #bringbackjax
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
we already addressed the concerns with ascension and essentia lol, unfortunately this is the way they want to make and milk money.
wont be suprised if revenue is downthis year then they will try to make playerbase happy with banqet 2026
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
Glad to see Crashed reply to this post. But I’m way past being alright with just acknowledgment, we need action, and assurance that things will be different. I just don’t think it’s gonna happen
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
First off, it was an absolute blast reading this post and the comments. Good stuff.
On the whole grind debate: I feel like it’s a yes and no. Yes, because in EQ you basically have to log in every 4-5 hours to push to the end. And with Radiance in the store now, there are great rewards, but not everyone can live on their phone to get them.
On the flip side, MCOC is a business. It pays taxes and feeds families. If it doesn't make a profit, the game shuts down. Despite all the ups and downs, I genuinely want to keep playing it.
The game gives us options: daily objectives, the Daily Super Event, arenas for units, etc. If progress isn't your absolute priority, just don't sweat it. Find a chill alliance that doesn't care about EQ, AW, or Coliseum. The stuff you're grinding your mind out for today won't even matter in 6 months anyway because the game constantly evolves.
If you want progress but refuse to grind, just swipe your card during events. But if you want the juiciest rewards without grinding AND without spending? Yeah, good luck with that.
Honestly, I don't think the grind is even that crazy. I skip arenas completely and still easily pull 1-1.5k units a month. I saved up for two Valentines AGs completely F2P, zero arena, and I’m sitting on 4,800 units since New Year—which I think is pretty solid. Auto-fighting daily objectives takes 15 mins. The monthly EQ takes one weekend, or like 20-30 mins a day.
Off-topic, but in my year on these forums, I don't think I've seen a single post about the audio. It’s unbearable listening to the exact same sound effects for 11 years. I just play on mute so it’s whatever, but it would be so much better if the game actually had unique and "juicy" sounds.
I played 7 years ago and came back 1.5 years ago. The game changed so much that I would’ve been completely lost without my new friends helping me figure things out. If it wasn't for nostalgia and pulling a 6-star on my first day back, I would've quit. The entry barrier is insane now, basically LoL or Dota 2 levels. You have to memorize every node, effect, interaction, and counter. Like Heimdall and Nico Minoru—despite the class advantage, she can't just beat him. Or how is a noob supposed to know Lumatrix is immune to ruptures in BGs?
My biggest gripes right now: the BG grind to the GC, constant lag, and no practice mode against meta defenders. I just want to test new Magik against Serpent, Dark Phoenix, or Jean Grey without burning my sanity in BGs. I'd be so happy if they added a CCP-style test map for everyone.
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
I will address every point one by one because some I agree with and some I don't, though I agree with most of them.
The Relentless Grind:
Yes there are a lot of game modes now which at times can make it feel very grindy but most of them aren't really that important. You can quite comfortably keep up with everyone else by only doing BGs, AQ (which includes Coliseum and Raids of course), EQ and the occasional piece of endgame content (Solo Coliseum, Carina's etc) and in doing so you also complete all solo and alliance milestone events that truly matter. Things like Daily Quests, SQ, War, Arena and Solo Raids are 100% optional and will have very little impact on your account on the long run, which is why I personally usually skip them if I don't feel like doing them, no big deal. So, for that matter in particular, I don't think we need any changes other than the Elder difficulty situation and Alliance Coliseum being extended to five days.
The Complete Lack of Balance (spoiler alert 100% **** agree):
This is, for me personally, THE MOST important point in the entire post. Ever since Serpent happened, they have been so quick to create extremely busted defenders but so stingy with the actual busted counters. Let's take Britain for example, potentially #1 defender in the entire game currently. Bastion? Hardly a nuke takes around 50-60 secs, Solvarch? Usually 45 secs so a little quicker but nothing crazy, Maker? 100% guaranteed hp but 60-70 sec fight, Yondu? Extremely meta dependant also 60-70 secs usually, Nimrod? Requires perfect AI to work, J J? Straight up trash not even worth mentioning, BPCW? Around 45 secs but you do lose around 20% hp, so who can nuke Britain properly ffs? Jack and... that's it, nobody else. Let's go over to the cosmic class shall we? Let's take Serpent, Kushala? Full hp finish but far from being a nuke usually 55-60 secs, Strange? Exact same deal, Pav? A little faster 45 secs but not as fast as the elephant in the room which I'm about to address in a bit, Tigra? Extremely AI, skill and luck reliant, Abs? Same deal as Tigra AI cooperation and skill involved, Jane? 60-70 sec fight, Shathra? 45 sec fight not bad but again nothing crazy, so does this mean nobody can truly nuke Serpent and Shathra and Pav are as good as it gets? Nope there is one, enter Nico Minoru.
So, what point am I trying to make here? Kabam either doesn't understand balance at all, or they genuinely don't give a **** about it anymore. Defenders like Serpent with counters like Nico, Britain with Jack, Dark Phoenix with Nico, Onslaught with Jack, Yelena with Jean, Spider Woman with Okoye and the list goes on and on, are the reason BGs are becoming so damn stale and repetitive. Who gives a **** about J J and Maker when you have Jack and to a certain extent Solvarch? Who gives a **** about Jane and Abs when you have Nico and Spiral? The game is being balanced in such a way that only one or two champs out of all their new releases from the same class in any given year are actually relevant because the rest are not interchangeable with any of the usual suspects, they're just fodder. I am sick of seeing the same decks and champs every single season, but unfortunately I can't use anything else because if I do I can't climb as high in GC as I'd like to. They need to either stop creating bs defenders and give us back skill based defenders like Onslaught and Photon, or they need to start giving us more champs that are interchangeable with the usual suspects because this is getting ridiculous.
Ascension:
Completely agree with everything said here, and as I've said before paywalling new champs and not even letting us get anything out of sig 200 dupes from the Titan is peak greed. I also don't understand who tf gave a greenlight to "RNG ascension", what made ascension so successful and fun was the fact we could pick who we wanted to ascend, I have now pulled ascensions on Iron Doom twice and I couldn't be more **** frustrated and annoyed with the system because getting garbage you're never going to use feels like a complete waste of time. But no, their CEO is totally listening to our feedback and he knows what the players want lmfao what a joke.
Rewards:
I miss new endgame content so much too especially because of the effort reward ratio, and it's sad that ever since Wheel of Flop all they can do is recycle old endgame content cause they genuinely have no clue what to do at this point. They are so disconnected from the playerbase it's wild. Completely out of touch.
Anyways starting to tilt a little bit so I'm gonna stop right there, but this was a great post and I completely agree with the rest of the stuff written after the rewards part as well
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
Would be great to see some actions behind the words at some point. I don't mean actions like putting out fires they created themselves though.
Re: So You Don't Have a Heal-Block Champion? Surprise! Here's 1M Heal Per Minute Opponent For You!
Dude, yoy screwed yourself by not prepping at all. That's on you.
Don't act like there's no maps put there, videos, planners etc...
Your whole "it's my first time ever doing this quest" isn't an excuse.
My first time stepping foot in Abyss was last week. Guess what? I didn't get roadblocks because I went in prepared for the path I was taking.
Take the L and prepare next time. It'll save you time.
