Re: ADAPTIVE EVENT QUEST - DIFFICULTY & FUTURE
Just to reiterate point #2 - not only is Classic a waste of time, it a waste of energy…. Of which our refills have been nerfed into the ground. This removal was to be because we wouldn’t need it for EQ going forward. Yet, here we are with daily quests we need to complete too with energy.

and you always like to talk, please close your lips and stop posting. Kabam simp
Adaptive eq:State of Kabam
Look at how it’s built. Every month we’re dealing with rotating nodes and restrictions. You can’t just bring in your best champs anymore, you have to bring super specific counters or you’re eating revives and potions. That’s not skill, that’s Kabam forcing us into resource spending. Crazy health pools and attack rating for only 25k prestige. I can’t imagine what the higher players are facing.
And for what? Rewards that haven’t been improved in years. Cavalier EQ rewards have basically been the same since 2020. We’re in 2025 now. Paragon EQ “buffed rewards” were a joke too. 6* shards capped out, 7* shards in tiny amounts that don’t even make a dent, and rank-up mats that don’t line up with current content. You grind hours and hours for a couple thousand shards while BGs and side quests throw out more for less effort. Valiant eq was good people enjoyed it. Now we got this bs. The rewards are still outdated. Look at 9.3 HELLO?
Free to play players are straight up getting punished. If you don’t have a 200+ champ roster with all the niche counters leveled, you’re forced to spend units. It takes anywhere from 800–1200 units just to clear EQ if you don’t have the right champs, and that’s if you play clean. That’s weeks of grinding arena down the drain just to finish one month of content.
And whales aren’t spared either. P2W players are dropping cash for crystals, sigs, boosts, CHAMPIONS?? Like cmon and still walking away pissed because the return is so bad. Why spend $100 on crystals when the rewards from the main monthly quest are the same trash they’ve been since before 7*s even existed? Even if you blitz through Adaptive EQ with maxed rosters, the rewards don’t justify the time sink.
Meanwhile Kabam keeps piling on grind. AQ, AW, BGs, side quests, solo events, alliance events. Now EQ isn’t even the “chill content” anymore, it’s another chore stacked on top. No wonder burnout is sky high. People aren’t excited to log in, they’re dreading it.
The community sees it. Go check Reddit, Discords, YouTube. Everyone’s saying the same thing this EQ SUCKSSSS! it’s punishing to everyone, and people are quitting. Kabam acting like this is the future of the game is delusional.
If you want the game to survive, here’s what needs to happen: Rewards need to scale with the time and effort. Stop throwing us 6* shards like it’s 2021. Drop the rotating node gimmicks. They don’t add a challenge they add annoyance. Respect both FTP and P2W players. Nobody wants to dump units or money just to feel like their doing a job.
Re: Adaptive eq:State of Kabam
Dang! I couldn’t agree more..well formulated and spot on, a clear disaster with the the new type content.
Re: Funny timing on CCP codes and new EQ
I thought it was strange to dedicate that amount of time to ccp 2.0 instead of the glaring needs that should be addressed. Not just this update, but the overall player sentiment along with all the performance issues. It really only benefits ccp members and the entire player base is suffering through an update that has gone off the rails a bit. Also, calling the CCP members the "lifeblood" of the game was off putting. They're much more well known, but the rank and file people are your lifeblood. Hope this doesn't come across as a personal attack, but I've played for a few years and the game just isn't fun at the moment. I hope that changes in the future. Thanks!

Re: VALIANT EVENT QUEST - CHECK IN!
Following this announcement, there is no hope to see any changes for this month EQ, right?
I believe this is the first month in more than 10 years that I'll skip EQ (used to be my favorite game mode until now)
crucible type of quest, but harder, no regen on switch, lock to specific class, without option to "practice" the bosses on easier difficulty before you get stuck, and for less rewards than what we had before.
Only reason I don't "push" in AQ is because it is tie to prestige, and now you tie this too…

Extensive EQ Feedback
I've seen the game evolve over the years and been with Kabam on this journey because I love this game. I remember when ROL was the sole piece of everest content and when BrutalDLX dominated the scene. Now there's so many modes in this game, and I'm seeing a large pivot in game design towards everest/highly competitive content. This update to the Monthly Event Quests to make it Adaptive felt like utter disregard for casual players.
Like many players I'm a working adult with commitments and choose to relax by playing this game. I have no intention of competing at high levels of the game or participating in any form of everest content. The past Monthly Event Quests allowed me the option of selecting which difficulties I wanted to engage with for the amount of rewards I wanted to earn. For the most part the effort correlated well with the reward. Paragon Gauntlets weren't too difficult that one needed a tonne of revives to complete. I avoided Valiant Gauntlet entirely.
Point 1 - OPTIONS:
Players engaged with Monthly Event Quests for the rewards they wanted at the difficulty they were comfortable with. Players had choices and they exercised their options according to how they wished to play. With the new changes, the ability to choose has been stripped from players. Players no longer have a choice. Players do not appreciate their choices being taken away from them. Casual players not wanting to do difficult content are being forced to fight defenders with 6-digit PI's at more than 3x the amount of attack rating (5-6,000 attack rating vs 18-19,000 attack rating) and health pools of 7-800,000. Making a small mistake costs players heavily, increasing the necessity of using pots and revives. Do I have to explain further why players are unhappy? Furthermore on the other end of the spectrum of players - players who do want to do challenging content - these players are forced to complete the Classic difficulty first before even being allowed to engage with the Elder difficulty. The option to engage with the content they want is being stripped from these players too. Come on Kabam, really?
Point 2 - EFFORT SCALING:
Seatins latest video pointed out a truly ridiculous point with the jump in difficulty from Classic to Elder. 18-19,000 attack ratings jump to 22-23,000, and health pools increase by a further 100-200,000 as well. On top of this increase is the real issue though. The fact that healthpools of attackers are shared. There is no room for error with the Elder difficulty. This highly increases the chances that players will stuff up and will need pots and revives. It's like an even tougher version of Crucibles. Crucibles were meant to be the epitome of everest content at one point. I remember when they advertised it as such. And now Kabam wants to turn Monthly Event Quests into Crucibles+? Who even asked for this? Furthermore there's the matter of the nodes chosen. These nodes are incredibly punishing to players, and from what I've read, even increasing the difficulty more than previous Valiant Gauntlets. The line between challenging and punishing is a fine one. But perhaps giving interesting/better bonuses to attackers TOGETHER with those punishing nodes may potentially smoothen them over so that the fight may be considered challenging rather than just punishing.
Point 3 - REWARDS:
The amount of effort and difficulty it takes for both Classic and Elder difficulties just to get incredibly lackluster and outdated rewards is absolutely ridiculous. Most of the worthwhile rewards require getting to the tail end of the Elder difficulty, making it so that completing and exploring the Classic difficulty isn't worthwhile at all. There's a great need to look at placement in terms of the point in the quest where rewards are earned, to ensure the rewards given match the effort given as players progress through the quest. Right now, completing Classic definitely isn't worth it at all. Not even in the slightest. 30units? Mythic shards? Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
I don't quite know how to feel with Kabam's response so far to all this chaos too.. We hear you about the choices they said. So here's an early release of the Daily Quest Rework they said..the desperation to soothe players' disappointment leaves abit of a sour taste in the mouth honestly. But I will give credit where credit is due.. The Daily Quest rework seems decent so far. The loss of the ability to autofight in the Monthly Event Quests and it's provision through the Daily Quests was like an attempt to save a dropped vase but still spilling all it's contents. Unfortunately the changes to Daily Quests aren't enough to make up for the disappointment from the Monthly Event Quests.
I love this game and want it to succeed. Just wishing there would be abit more testing and consideration before launching things. Sometimes I wonder what Kabam Rex and Dorky Dave feel when duds they know are duds are gonna be launched and they gotta sit there during streams and act all excited like it's the best thing that's coming to the game. That confliction must be annoying lol.
Anyways if you've read this far and I'm missing out on anything please feel free to add it on. Keen to learn abt more experiences and thoughts from other players.

Re: Kabam, Adaptive EQ Isn’t "Adaptive"... It’s Just Broken
The question is: Are people going to be tolerant with them if they slightly pull back the numbers next month and it still feels like this?
I know for me personally, there needs to be a significant change in health pool and attack for me to consider doing this EQ again. The previous Valiant Gauntlet felt fair in terms of rewards and effort. This needs to have a similar feel in the end.
Re: Special Shard Offers bugged!!
Like all comp, it will come attached to a message in game. You will know when you get it.
Re: Kabam, Adaptive EQ Isn’t "Adaptive"... It’s Just Broken
That is not their fault. Considering the state of the game (which is their fault) seeing so many people yesterday complaining about purchases in the market is baffling. They can put a turd in a crystal and someone will be rushing to be first in line to get it, take a screenshot and post it somewhere.
