Re: AW current state is so confusing…
"This means your War Rating will remain unchanged, regardless of wins or losses."
Take a minute guys. Read.
Read again and then try to understand. Yes you can fight and win but the result will be unchanged.
Therefore "freeze".

Re: My issue with Adaptive difficulty
Kabam just do Kabam things. Valiant EQ was getting refined month on month following player feedback. Then they bin it entirely and come out with this new monthly EQ with ridiculous healthpools and attack ratings for defenders. I must have wasted 20 or so revives on that stupid elder level for meh rewards. It’s akin asking us to doing Everest content but with piddling rewards.
Mike Osaurus Rex’s post the other day riled me me as it suggests that they’ll refine the difficulty next month to make the user experience better. But it’s not just the difficulty Kabam /Mike. It’s the fact that you guys don’t listen to players and just drop this seemingly untested **** on us. We’re not beta testers. Plus you don’t care about the time commitment this new format EQ takes. To get to elder you need to do the classic for no real reward.
I’m beginning to hate this game. And it’s rampant monetisation. That’s the driver for the tweaks to prestige. You want everyone to spend their way to a raft of (30) 7 star R4 200 Sig champions. And you can’t do that as FTP. And guess what, when you’ve spent your $400 dollars on this latest spending event to get 1-2 R4s in your roster, it’ll all be for nowt as in a few months there will be R5s. And then 8 star champs in 2026.
Rant over.

Re: My issue with Adaptive difficulty
If i remember correctly there was a time where content like act 6 or precisely the fights per way were shortened because it was just too much. Doing the opposite and providing us with 18 fights per way, horrible atk damage and healthpools where you have to be careful too not fall asleep is just overall and with no doubt the worst decision i've seen in a long time in a videogame, not just mcoc.
I can't imagine that you Guys at Kabam really thought that would bring back fun into montly content. If so, you must be living in another dimension. Would it be a possibility that you traveled to the Black Lodge and asked The Arm for advice? Guess i watched too much Twin Peaks in the last few days instead of playing that horrible content. Monthly Eventquest was a mess, got back into an accetable shape some months ago and was brushed down the toilet with adaptive difficulty once again. Bravo Kabam!
Re: My issue with Adaptive difficulty
I can’t even queak anymore with this new format i hate it

Re: My issue with Adaptive difficulty
These EQ nodes are old, so old that many new champs simply have no interaction with them. You can still use them but it makes fights so much longer, bait SP bait SP wait wait bait SP. Given the defender attack strength, the only way to play safe enough to survive.
Mutant quest was okay, if you have deep enough roster to use bleed to your advantage. Easy to gain fury.
Science was also alright, lots of tanky champs and think fury are not that tough to get.
Skill and Tech is where it started to fall apart:
Skill quest you don't want to give us free healing, but willpower removal is just wrong for this.
Tech armor ups, lets see my some of my top champs - Shocker, Shuri, Jack, Starky, Sentinel, Peni. There is more tech that don't have base armor buff then ones that do. Yeah you can complete without, but the fights become much longer and a drag on the experience.
Cosmic can be either really easy or really rough, angela slaps while phoenix does not etc.
Mystic was more the same of so many champs that just don't have any way to fight the node or benefit from it.
This is where I see the issue if you want to do big asks of roster depths. All of your top champs should likely be in play and not hampered because of nodes from 2022.

Re: My issue with Adaptive difficulty
Agree with op...
I have no issues with new elder eq mostly on my main. The only issue is the atk values are too high. One blocked hit in quest one is 50% of health due to poison damage. Over 18 path fights it's not realistic. One missed parry (let's be fair alot of input still drops) and you are dead to a combo.
My main issue is the smaller accounts. I have a mini that's a newly valiant with limited roster and obviously low prestige. It barely qualifies for elder eq.
Last month I was able to build it to a level to be able to have enough options to do valiant gauntlet.. This month there is no chance I can get 18 ranked up champs per class to do elder eq. My time and revives are better off doing necropolis.
Kabam considered the deck strength only and discounted players who can and do play at a higher level but doesn't spend to have a big roster. This change make it much more difficult for non or low spenders to keep up.. This needs changing as it will drive players away.
Instead of giving the same rewards to players with the skills and determination to do the same content as the biggest rosters... You are now actively punished for not spending. This is a game.. It should be fun. Fun is not achieved by punishing those that don't spend. Spending should give you advantages but that should be a bonus... Not drop the floor out of those who have least.
Kabam.. Please do better.
Re: My issue with Adaptive difficulty
I got bored earlier and gave Classic (Valiant 5/15) a go, and it was actually pretty easy. I could have made it easier on myself by making some other choices on champs, but I have enough expiring revives to make some less than optimal choices in the name of fun and experimentation. I still don't want to go back and 100% it.
If Adaptive difficulty was going to adapt to fit me and what I'm looking for, it would be shorter. These rewards aren't anything special, but they're a close enough match for the annoyances I had to put up with to get them. At this point, I want new and interesting champs and I already have most of them. More importantly, I want to use them in fun ways.
Actually, if Monthly EQ was basically ROL (large health pools, slightly increased attack, no bs nodes, no damage cap, 1 longish path) with the story cutscenes added, that would be my favorite content by far.
While we're here, what is the point of the monthly content? It only kinda features the new champs because they're noded out of control and you don't get to actually use them. I have to beat them up multiple times (kicking the stank off both new champs with champs I already have devalues the new ones) and they'll probably (definitely) be old news by the time regular joes can get their hands on them. So far, the story is all that you can't get elsewhere. The rewards are the same rewards offered elsewhere.
Side note: this is what I thought the new currency + store was going to address. A central store that takes one currency to meet all of our resource needs. If I want to get big ticket fancy items, I need a high paying job with higher qualifications (Everest content that pays out $100), but if I just want soda (everyone rich and poor gets roughly the same selection of soda. There's no special Diet Coke that only rich people can get), I can afford that with a part time job or door dashing or something (EQ that pays out $1).
Re: My issue with Adaptive difficulty
the problem is prestige is a number value assigned to each champ and then an average of your top 30, that in no way shows roster growth or roster strength… rewards scale with prestige flat out, saying no no difficulty scales with prestige and rewards scale with difficulty is the same beaver dam thing.
Re: My issue with Adaptive difficulty
Instead of basing difficulty off of prestige, it’s based off of a behind the scenes Progression title? Similar to how incursions rewards scale based off of how many champions you have in a certain rarity, there’s a “hidden” progression that every player has that the system recognizes
for example, somebody with 20 rank 3 seven stars has X title which opens up Y reward bracket in Adaptive EQ. Granted, it may sound similar to prestige, but prestige mostly shows you’re ranking up the best PI characters.
Re: I know I'm not the only one ...
Man you sound almost as out of touch as Kabam. Sure everyone likes to get new champs and the event to get Thing (or a 7* Fantastic Force crystal) is nice and simple. But what the hell am I going to do with that? Thing adds nothing to the game. And where am I going to use this new champ (and 6* material)? EQ? Nothing to do but auto-fight the new daily quests. Nice rewards but jeez, how boring…
