One possibility which was suggested to me when I was discussing this idea before posting it was to allow players to pick their progression tier to be anything from their current one to any tier lower. That way if you’re a Valiant but it is too hard you can just do Paragon, or if you just want to autofighting EQ you could pick Proven or UC.

And just to be clear, I’m not saying difficulty is set correctly relative to prestige. I’m just saying no matter what it is set to, there will still be players that don’t want that level of challenge or time consumption. Separate from this, difficulty should still be looked at in terms of whether it is appropriate for the rewards and roster strength.

I find it difficult to play any level i don't get to choose. If i wanna pummel AA players why can't I? Others may want Major League challenges, i don't. If i can no longer play at a level I want to…why keep playing.. losing SuX,

He isnt in game yet. Save your judgement for his gameplay before rushing to decisions.

What players need to learn is that Summoner's Choice champions don't automatically mean they're going to be better than any other champions. Hercules was clearly the outlier, but he would have been if he was released in his own and not a part of the vote.

It's a choice of which champion would be released first, not which champion is going to be better than if they didn't win the vote
