previously daunted could go through protection, it would work as such, protection potency - daunted potency during specials, it was an additive equation, whereas now the protection is a net thing, so +100% damage taken from daunted is just multiplied by 0, making you do no damage through protection. Sorry if that’s explained poorly, TLDR is daunted used to work through protection, and now it doesn’t.

I’d rather show my disdain for the game mode by not participating. Why perpetuate a game mode I don’t enjoy or support by participating? My time is better spent elsewhere.

I implied the comparison between having the ability to fight endlessly against one champ which is similar to the CCP map allowing you to pick a champ to fight against multiple times in one map. That is a similarity regardless of if you want to admit it. I never stated that they are in the same 'universe' Not sure what your concept of that is though.
