The reason is it’s a competitive mode with everyone fighting for the same rewards. Small accounts versus small accounts would need to have small rewards.

I finally clawed my way in a couple of days ago, won a single match, and went into Gamma iv. Just shows how few people got in this time compared to previous seasons.
