Re: Seeking Important Info before Carina Challenge End
Thanos to erase half the people due to lack of resources to go around or something
Re: New to the game - help
next major milestone for me. Got my first r5 and it could only be one champ….
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
I realized that no amount of feedback can improve the game
Only money matters
As long as the whales continue to spend on this game and the revenue is healthy, the game will continue in the current form
Sure you can give feedback on everything but Kabam will only make small adjustments as long as it doesn't affect their main bread and butter which is selling 7* ascension through the featured crystal, this is their main source of revenue for the next few years
I personally got no objections with selling 7* ascension through crystals, this is the path Kabam has chosen and I respect that
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
"2. The most important announcements come last. Kabam claims to communicate, but if you pay attention, what we often get is a lot of filler content and then the most vital information is dropped on us days or at most a week before release. For example, Ascension, yeah they announced it months early and made consisten posts about champions who could be ascended. But the important info on how we could get ascension materials and how available those would be, we didn't get that until the very last minute. Same with essentia. Announced and hyped up early but the important information like conversion rates and store prices? Not available until release! It's intentional too. There's no doubt about it. They purposefully leave the most critical information until the last minute so that the playerbase doesn't have time to react negatively to it before release. So yeah, Kabam communicates technically, but really they don't."
This has been a frustrating point for me for a long time. I just read the post about observance, and I feel there is a lot of important info that the player base who will be grinding for the resource they should know about but it was nowhere on the post. I hope they plan to say the important stuff tomorrow during the livestream. But I feel they will still leave information. Sometimes even worse is they might mention stuff in the CCP and assume that everyone will somehow get the info.
Re: Who are you picking from Carina?
I don't have spider99, and went for titan. If you are not a huge fan of him and don't plan to use him a lot, I don't see any good reason to pick him over other options. And I use sinister in every game mode, have r4 max sig for a while now, used a mutant ag on him as soon as I could, no regrets so far
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
I agree with you, didn't realize you are responding as well and made separate post basically saying the same thing.
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
Overall I agree with most of your points except the ascension. I feel most people complain because they still see ascension as a rank up system rather than the introduction of a new star level. Yes, if it is simply rank up you should be able to choose who you rank up, but if it is a new star level, then you are never able to choose. A new star level has always been and will probably always be RNG based. And ascension is meant to be a new star level (8 star) replacement and not simply just a new rank up system. And I do believe comparing to introduction of 8 star, ascension is actually much, much better for the following reasons. Yes, it is true that you have to pull the ascended version of the champ again, however
- You are free to rank up the 7 stars you pull, because there is a possibility to ascend it in the future. In comparison, when the 7 stars first came, and I pull a 6 star champion, it is such a tough decision. I don't know whether I should rank up my 6 star anymore, because what if I end up pulling a 7 star next week, which will make my invest in the 6 star completely useless. But if I do not rank up my 6 star, then I have no idea when I will pull the 7 star. It is an incredible frustrating decision process. With ascension, you no longer have to make that tough choice, because the 7 star you rank up can eventually become ascended, and you won't regret about wasting your resources
- You don't have to worry about duping your champions to get the sig ability. When 7 stars first came out, it is almost impossible to dupe them, and awaken gem is stupidly expensive to obtain, and thus I am also left wondering whether I should rank up an unduped champ. Trust, if this were 8 stars, duping a 8 star will be stupidly hard without spending a lot lot of cash. As with ascension, though you have to pull the champ multiple times to ascend to lvl 2, but you don't have to worry about not having the sig ability which is critical for a lot of the champ.
- You don't have to worry about redo your sig investment. 7 star sig stones are very easily obtainable. If it were 8 stars, you have to do all of this all over again.
So yes, ascension is not perfect, and unnecessary complicated, but I think those are pretty huge advantage to have an ascension system versus having 8 stars. I do agree I am concerned about what ascension 3-11 will look like. But I don't know what I don't know, and currently I think ascension is a big pro-player move versus 8 stars.
Re: The State of MCOC: A Comprehensive Look Into the Game In 2026
Thanks OP, @Kabam Crashed and everyone else participating in this much needed and almost exclusively healthy discussion.
I have to say I agree with most of your thoughts and ideas and honestly don't mind the slighlty "crazier" suggestions for possible changes. To make an impact in a situation like we are in right now it's always good to think outside the box - maybe some of the ideas that on the first look might be too much for some peope can be toned down to a way that is actually healthy for the game.
There is one more point I am missing for future changes that comes along some of the war related aspects. Health potions need a desperate update with ascended r5s on the horizon. The potion ecosystem hasn't been changed for years now but our health pools have gone up drastically. A percentage based system could be the easiest fix - well knowing that the game economy team would need to carefully think about how much they would value them. But in the end, why should the price for fully healing your champ raise with every single rankup you do?
Thanks for everyone to engage in this important discussion!
