There are a lot of people in this forum who just love downplaying people's problems honestly it gets infuriating, I just don't understand why they keep doing that.

People who regularly play BGs for fun will not see any issue with the decision. The rest of the community however are now all trying to grind their way through a bloated season with deck after deck filled with rank 4s. Attacking someone for not wanting to do a highly divisive game mode as saying "well it's just a skill issue" or "get your account up" isn't helpful. People can have a strong account, do endgame content, and still not enjoy doing battlegrounds. We all know that Blade is just a stepping stone to get to Doom at the end of the year. 2,500 units is a steep asking price for 1/5 of a mid character. In a normal season, by now most of the big accounts have long gone to GC. But with 5 days left there are still a ton of stacked decks in VT, endgame summoners who do not like BGs trying to make a late push. It's just a very frustrating experience.

This isn't new. Most Hulks have some way to deal with degen. Spider ham, count nefaria. And there's some synergies with some of the spiderverse heroes and quicksilver. And they always do this, make a champ with X abilities, then make the counter.

I don't believe there's a great conspiracy. That's how the game has been developed all along. Champs with Abilities shine, other Champs are released with counters. No Champ is ever unchecked in some way.

But in this case, because the STAR VERSIONS are specific to each difficulty level, I do think it was intended to be able to do all the levels (up to your progression) and below.
People without the good champ at a higher star, could still do lower level with their lower Star, and still enjoy watching Health Bars melt away.
I think they just let us reach the stuff early on.

Degen in the mystic class and Mojo-proofing the game
This is pure conspiracy theory but I think the recent addition of degen to mystic is less about class consistency (although that's 100% a thing in the game) and more about setting up the stage to control Mojo better down the road.
The Magik buff gave her degen. Same with Ghost Rider. Dracula, Maddie, and stellar forged Blade came with it and are all relatively recent.
And now Wave's sig ability passively heals up to 70% of damage taken from degen.
The shift is coming. RIP Mojo : (

Kabam would have saved themselves so much trouble if they released Elder EQ rewards a month after the progression level was even introduced 🤣
