Re: Solo Coliseum
I did about 8 runs with FAM to max out the 80 HBs.
I didn't read the nodes, apparently you shouldn't dex Havok's SP2? I dexed it and was able to get around 10 HBs per run, so I don't think the nodes are important.
Re: Solo Coliseum - pain point - removing masteries
1000% agree OP.. I was actually coming here to start my own post 😂 Seriously.. stop designing fights that "require" you to add a WP removal node simply because you don't want players to get free healing.. you designed the fight, you chose to add debuffs to it.. why is that our problem?
Huge issue for Recoil players (many of us run it in virtually every game mode save for BGs (but we can pay to save a build for BGs)
So, why not just pay the 70 unit tax to get it done and move on?
Because this content was designed to be able to chip away at it over 2 weeks.. not sit down and do the whole thing in one go.. so how many times are we supposed to pay 70 units to swap back and forth just because the fight design (s) wanted to create a fight with excessive debuffs, but not allow the Mastery that people paid for to provide healing from it?
Idc about free healing.. I just want my mastery build that I invested in to function as it's supposed to and was advertised to (everyone knows that WP is a key component to a Recoil build)
Look, I don't mind paying 70 units here and there to swap.. and I do,but this is too much
Re: Solo Coliseum - pain point - removing masteries
I swear Kabam doesn't test their metas. Really fun and new event but impossible metas makes it unfun.
Re: Solo Coliseum
Infamous ironman works very well but you have to be very careful.
Omega sentinel and fantman are safe as they have multiple armor buffs to prevent plasma.
Shocker works best for me as mine is r4
Re: What’s the point of the precisions take away armor buff I don’t need true strike against havok lol
I wish I could spend 30 seconds in yalls brains with the peace of relief that comes with the mentality that believes “I downloaded this game why don’t I get top rewards every time I look at a quest? This is an ever evolving game sure, but I need it softer, oh and also give me all the rewards that the ones trying harder and playing better get, otherwise this is a stupid game that doesn’t make any sense” that’s yall, that’s what yall sound like.
Re: Impact of Adaptive Event Quest (EQ) Design on the Player Base
While I agree that the adaptive EQ feels like a chore I don't entirely agree with this post.
Forced difficulty & time constraints:
The difficulty you're referring to (elder) isn't 'forced' as there is classic mode, which is what Thronebreaker EQ was before the change to adaptive, so now we're getting better rewards for doing the same content, if you stick with classic mode. We have a month to do the mode, so I wouldn't consider time constraint as an issue. However, I do agree that needing 15 champs a run isn't accommodating to smaller accounts.
Systematic Neglect of Long-Term Roster Investment
Unless you were running every difficulty of the previous version of EQ with 2,3,4,5 star champs and not autobattling it with your top champs then i don't see how this is an issue. 6 Stars are strong enough to work in adaptive EQ. I wouldn't consider EQ as top-tier meta either, the path nodes have been the same for the past few months. I think you mean a 7* r1 (because they can beat an elder difficulty champ), rather than top tier meta.
Restriction of the Game’s Most Common Mode
This is the same as the previous point.
Erosion of Player Confidence and Motivation
I would argue that by allowing us to use 15 champs this allows players to use more of their champs that they wouldn't otherwise use. In the previous EQs players would use relatively the same champs for each path of a quest. You seem more upset about the fact that the Adaptive EQ doesn't let you use 2-5 star champs and that's a valid complaint. But you can't expect to get end game rewards in gamemodes that let players use 5 star champs.
I don't think adaptive EQ is perfect by any means. However, I appreciate having the ability each month to get more than the few 1000 7 star shards that we were getting from the paragon gauntlet.
Re: When will we get more deathless pieces?
wait, do you actually pay for anything?
if you’ve finished all the content and you want the deathless champs badly, sounds like you made the wrong call on the banquet selector, bro.
Re: Solo Coliseum
Get a few intercepts in early - this is critical to build up his armour buffs, get to at least 5 to get his stinging swarm.
Build up to around 2 bars of power (but not too high) and try to bait a special so that they're BELOW 1 bar of power, then hit them with a light-ending combo (e.g. MLLLL) and then throw a special - the light-ender locks your power bar so that you throw an SP1 instead of an SP2 (or an SP2 instead of an SP3 if you end up with a full bar) - you WANT to throw an SP1 here to put the Disintegrate debuff onto them as it will not only deal damage with every hit but also speed up the recharge of the power detonation passive. (The reason for building the power up in this manner is to minimise the time between throwing the SP1 and the SP2 to give you a better chance of nailing it with the detonation passive still active)
Then, while the power detonation passive is still active (red, not grey), throw an SP2 and watch their health disappear.
That's the basic FAM rotation. For longer fights, you need to juggle keeping the disintegrate debuff on and timing your SP2 strikes for when the detonation is active - if they throw a special while it's active, it puts it on cooldown.
For this fight in particular, you also need to handle the protection passive to make sure it's not active when you throw the SP2 otherwise the damage will be halved.
Re: Solo Coliseum - pain point - removing masteries
I can live with recoils, I know the trade off, I would use sp3s or not use specials if I dont want to use 5% health but unable to avoid poison/bleed that comes from this prevents us from doing more that 1 room, 2 max.
