Re: Calling It Quits
I play every day, and I'm in an alliance, but I don't follow these forums or online chatrooms.
I have no idea how 7-star ascension works. None. I understand that for 5 and 6-star ascension, you apply dust to a champion, and they're ascended. Easy peasy, makes perfect sense. I've ascended well over 50 of them. I clicked on the ascension tab on a 7-star, and it was filled with a bunch of other resources. I have no idea what they're called or how to get them. It's impossible to figure out 7-star ascension, apparently, unless maybe you click on some giant document linked somewhere. I'm not interested in studying that hard to figure out how to do what should be a simple task.
Re: Calling It Quits
I'm legit curious who you are in real life , this level of glaze is unreal, if bootlicker was a person it'd be you 💀
Blue Marvel bug?
Re: Totem leaving highlighted a huge problem with Ascension (Peace Out Dude!)
Well Andrew the Ruff also quit because Ascension and Bero Man quit because of Exclusive Twitch drop and promo code.
Then the wonderful Essentia launch, the Hulkling, Valkyrie and Hercule "bug" then "fix", the silent nerf to Daunted (which is most of the new Mutant), and we are only in March, sure this year will be a roller coaster ride, so strap on.
Re: Let's have a genuine, honest conversation Kabam
Yep, I lost about 4,500 glory because of this nonsense.
But the biggest thing I would like @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex to address is the fact that if you are at the cap for some of these currencies, the trade in rate is so slow that we literally won't be able to get it all traded in before the timers on the conversions expire.
The only reason I'm even AT the cap on all of these resources is because I've been saving for essentia conversion! I would've been much better off if you guys would've never told us essentia was coming! I genuinely feel like I was intentionally tricked in this situation. I was basically told I should hoard and then told I hoarded too much so 1/3rd of my currency I've EARNED will be destroyed. WTF?
If this really wasn't intentional, then this was an embarrassingly huge oversight. The math is as easy as 165,000 cap on BG tokens divided by 39 weeks (the timer on the conversions) = 4230 per week can be converted. The limit now is 3000 per week, and I think that was after the first round of adjustments, meaning it was even lower before.
I know there are more changes coming, so hopefully these ensure that ALL of our currency can be converted at some point (tbh maybe an unpopular opinion but I don't care how long it takes to convert as long as it ALL can be converted eventually). Even after this hopefully gets fixed, I'm just genuinely mind blown and need to have an official statement as to what happened here. It was literally as easy as 165,000 / 39 = 4230. So either: (1.) the QC is in such shambles that no one bothered to do this 2 number calculation in 3+ months or (2.) The game team decided it was okay if 30%+ of our currency was just deleted, which is just not okay in any universe. I don't know which is worse honestly, but it is necessary to have an acknowledgement on which it really was and what is planned in the future to avoid something like this.
Re: Did Anyone noticed Titan pool updated sooner than the timer
”Did anyone notice ?”
YES, especially the 2 posts up here AT THAT TIME that mentioned they changed a little earlier than they should have, and people confirming that they were actually getting new champs from them (so not just visual).
Did you really open them yesterday before change, but waiting half a day after it happened to post here ?
And did you REALLY want the prior pool champs, or did you open hoping for some new ones and get unlucky pulling champs you didn’t want, so now are claiming you really wanted older ones, and using the timer issue as an excuse to get some free comp ?
Re: 7star Lumatrix (Base Pool)
Yeah it took me almost 40 crystals to pull him first time, had the same amount of crystals as you did like 166? Someone I know was also chasing him but didn’t get Lucky enough
Can we please add 2 factor authentication at this point
Many players in Marvel Contest of Champions have very valuable accounts built through years of hard work, long-term grinding, and often significant spending. Adding 2FA (via email or an authenticator app) would greatly improve account security and help protect players from unauthorized access or account theft.
Considering how much time, effort, and investment goes into these accounts, an extra security layer would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Analyzing Essentia Store pricing: Comparing Essentia to Glory
Yes, but the important detail is how much is enough to benefit, and that depends on the resource. For example, the break even point for T4A, a resource many end gamers are constrained by, is half a T4A. Most of the players that need any T4A at all almost certainly need multiples, and anyone buying even one whole T4A is better off with the Essentia store.
That wouldn't matter if only the top tier AQ players could afford a whole T4A, but in the Essentia store a whole T4A is 4800 Essentia. If Essentia is about as easy to earn in AQ as Glory was (which seems likely but hasn't been confirmed yet) then even mediocre alliance players will be able to afford that (even I could afford that, and my alliance typically places around rank 3k-4k in AQ).
I would say for the most progression-relevant stuff for Valiants, the Essentia store is going to be better for most players of average activity level or higher. For ultra-casuals, probably not so much. My guess is this extends downward through the lower progression tiers, but I haven't looked deeply at every progression level. As I mentioned it would not be easy for someone to do a complete longinatudal analysis of the Essentia store because there's about two dozen items across nine progression levels with glory pricing that varies across five or ten tiers.
It is true that players trying to buy stuff just above their pay grade, which the Glory store used to let you do to some degree will be more strongly affected because the prices of that stuff were just so high to begin with. But even those players will be in the same boat: those that used to earn a lot of glory will probably be better able to take advantage of the Essentia store structure and jump ahead, while far less active players will find it more difficult to squeeze out single purchases of very expensive items. But it is difficult to complain too much about that.
If you want a really rough estimate of the comparable value in the Essentia store, I would say as a very, very rough estimate if you used to earn about 4k Glory or more, the Essentia store is likely to be much better for you. If you used to earn about 2k to 3k, the Essentia store will likely be about the same as the Glory store, plus or minus. And if you used to earn significantly less than 2k per week, then things might be a bit rougher for you, but probably not by a lot.
Re: Totem leaving highlighted a huge problem with Ascension (Peace Out Dude!)
Its wild when you say it out loud. For instance, I am very interested in ascending Zemo. Recently, I've grown to really like him (wether voluntarily or invisibly pushed by @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex) but in order to have a shot at him, if I have average ish luck, I'm going to open about 60-70 crystals. Thats 200 units a piece, i.e. 14,000 units, which as far as USD goes, thats about $500, and thats with average luck, its almost like $800-$900 just to have a 1:30 chance for Zemo. Like, thats really quit absurd right?
