Re: Let’s talk crashed
I feel for Crashed here lol - he's been very brave for a while now to face up to the mob (which I am a part of don't get me wrong) but at the end of the day he is doing his job and despite it not being great for us I blame Kabam at the board level more than him despite his role in orchestrating the methods to meet the demands sent from above.
Long monolog…
However the real issue is that it's clear that the board/CEO of Netmarble has basically told the MCOC team they want to milk the cash cow harder than ever. No other reason for having these sales events every.. other.. flipping.. month now, up from 2-3 times a year.
We've gone from expecting to shell maybe $400 twice a year to get the best prizes in these events (July 4 & Cyber Wkd), to some special sales-tied event/saga every month or two (so possibly 6 or more times a year) at increasing costs in each event to get similar value.
The new prestige mechanism specifically is aiming for the same thing - I can see where they are going and why but... Probably shouldn't have changed it in one month so suddenly. Maybe start at top 10 champs then top 20 next month etc until you reach that 30 mark. Coinciding with new daily quests that cost high energy and a removal of energy refills (to of course encourage buying the energy card) has all come too quickly and at once.
The aim of course with the prestige race now is to make as much a cash cow as the sales events, but also make it a steady income source for Netmarble. Before it was a sporadic earner and only tied to AQ - now it is tied to everything.
Normally prestige was about who could buy the most featured crystals and/or sig stone packs when a given champ is released maybe twice a year and suddenly has the best prestige for no real apparent reason. Now it's not just about that but also ranking up 30 champs and 30 relics that you may or may not have already. It was an abrupt change of direction and should've bene phased in stages vs the abrupt change we saw.
You can say Crashed is doing his job well in one sense, though yes they have missed the mark quite a bit and the bugs keep coming (so that is on whatever team is supposed to fix them). He and other senior employees have been mandated to increase revenue and also prolong and consolidate current streams.
As a player himself though he ultimately knows a lot of it won't and hasn't gone down well so he will come in to take the body shots he's been paid to take.
The problem really lies with those above him, who don't seem to get that the harder you milk a cow the sooner it will run dry. They are betting on getting enough calvs to keep the milk flowing, as other dry up/give up.

Re: Let’s talk crashed
I cameback and yes it’s pretty horrible
remember all those times they changed the store in game to?
another thing that was immediately changed
this game has been a downward spiral lol the past 1-2 years 🤣🤣🤣
Re: Let’s talk crashed
Oh I am not holding my breath at all on this. Just pointing out how treating us like adults would look.

I think you meant to say getting rid of ender marks and make bg matches 1 energy!!!!
Re: I teach Computer Science, I’m working on my Doctorare, Kabam, it’s time, you must do this:
Also, I was worried a bit that I was coming off like I was bragging but it was mostly to express I have a bit of credibility with regards to coding and software engineering in general (I’ve been doing it since 2013).

Re: Let’s talk crashed
certainly get my respect for coming in and commenting on this post especially. It’s possibly very bad coincidence that some of the worst decisions made by the game team happened on your watch, and I feel it’s safe to say the game is in the worst shape it’s been in likely ever. It’s just incredible how quickly things have nosedived and I think almost all the decisions that have been made lately have left the majority of (if not all) the community scratching our heads and frustrated. It’s amazing how much worse (like seriously on the brink of collapse) the game is than it was just a couple weeks ago. It seems the reasons are obvious, but it also seems any suggestions to completely reverse course are being discounted and ignored. An explanation for the decisions for all the recent changes should be made immediately, and honestly should have been made before such game-changing “changes” were implemented - we MAY have been able to adjust to them better if we understood the why beforehand. Waiting to post any explanations a couple months will likely be too late for many to continue to have interest in the game.

Re: Stop making bad decision KABAM !!!
I feel like they want us to stop playing the game. Right now i want to play but can’t because i have no energy. This goes back to the alliance quest thing where we are real people with real lives and we can only play this game when we have free time. I have a job, a family, a house, responsibilities.. I can’t hop on the game every hour when my energy is full then play for 10 minutes. I need to be able to play what i can when i can and this energy restriction is making that impossible. I have honestly never been so close to walking away from this game.

Re: Stop making bad decision KABAM !!!
Just when I think it couldn’t get worse. My entire alliance is only focused on BG game play and questing. This decision forces us to spend even more energy. Come guys, WAKE UP!! It’s bad enough yall chose not to upgrade alliance BG rank rewards, and now you want us to play BGs even less? I want to be able to grind BGs and still have energy to quest. I don’t want to have to choose between the two. If your hidden agenda is to just force us to spend units on energy, just say so… if not then find a solution that actually works so we can play as desired. I’ve already spent a **** ton of $$,$$$ on the game. Don’t make me spend units just to play daily content.
