Re: Is Kabam ignoring f2p players completely?
F2P Players will get sick if they don't say they are F2P every minute.
Re: Some clarification on the recent ban wave
Good morning. I understand your position and the efforts to exclude and prevent unauthorized use of third-party software. But this does not justify the suspension of accounts that do not use such software, that have never used it and that downloaded the installer through, for example, the Google Play Store, as in my case, but through the Google Play Store that is already installed on the "Brazilian" device, therefore, with a ".com br" domain and still official from Google, "its authorized partner". Not to mention that applying Sansão to users, old or new, without giving them the right to defend themselves beforehand, is illegal in any country. I do not expect anything from you, because you really only want people to pay to play.
Re: 7* Human Torch in wheel of fortune?
That was definitely a poor way to word that sentence on my part in the moment, I should have said "one of the Defenders in the Quest currently available as a 7 Star*"kinda got me sad made me feel like i was gonna be getting a thor rags also u should buff him and bring him as 7 star
Re: Wheel of Fate
In a few years you can do it stress free if you want.By July 4th, the rewards will already become irrelevant. For those that don't want to spend money, 9.3 exploration will give you even better rewards for less work. At least with necropolis, it was the only way to get a rank 4 champ so you were forced to complete it to get valiant. Kabam needs to introduce meaningful endgame content instead of just putting all the meta defenders on one path with cheesey nodes.
It's permanent content, nothing requires you to do it today. 😎
Look at Abyss, it's easy now. It wasn't easy when it was released though.
Even necropolis is way easier now in comparison to when it came out.
Feel free to wait a couple years and make it easier on yourself. 💪
Spinning the Wheel of Fate: a Quest 1 guide
Man, I really shouldn't have said anything about "aspirational content", huh? Time for the first of my guides for the Wheel of Fate! Keep in mind we will ONLY BE COVERING QUEST 1 today since I need to do some rank ups before taking on quest 2.
The Stash:
5728 units
27 L2 revives (got 1 from daily super event mid run)
21 L1 revives
3 L3 revives
2 L2 team revives (do NOT use these btw)
Loads of L3 and L5 potions farmed from ROL and daily super event
892 free crystals
Bunch of boosts which went unused (again).
Masteries:
Same as nearly all my other challenge runs, no suicides with some points in willpower and deep wounds. Max despair is STRONGLY recommended for Gorr.
Journey to Thanos:
Fight: Gorr
My pick: 7* R3 sig 40 Nefaria with 5* ant man relic
Deaths: 0
We got a steamer of a fight right out the gate. There are two major things to keep an eye on for this one:
1. Gorr will be forced to use his sp2 after using 4 sp1s. Make sure you practice the full evade before going in.
2. The regen on this man is absolutely RIDICULOUS, someone who can stop or reverse the healing will be essential for this run.
Nefaria can clap this fight since the healing fuels your energy debuffs like crazy. Additionally, you can easily stop the healing and steal a huge chunk back if you have the dupe. On top of all that, Nefaria is bleed immune and takes virtually no damage from Gorr's shocks, so just mind the poison damage and you'll be okay here.
Fight: Dazzler
My pick: 7* R3 unduped Chavez with 6* iron fist relic
Deaths: 1
Chavez's purple dimension completely turns off the power gain, try to maintain at least 2 stacks of it at all times. Mind the dazzling dash every once in a while and bait sp1 only. Died due to poor AI, should've been a solo here.
Fight: Lady Deathstrike
My pick: 7* R3 sig 200 Guardian with 6* hulkbuster relic
Deaths: 0
Not a hard fight but a long one. In theory, any character with a decently hard hitting sp3 can do this fight, just make sure you time your dashes to prevent the power loss. During ferocity, deathstrike inflicts a torment debuff on sp1 activation so it can provide some good healing via willpower. Spent 20 minutes on a solo for this one.
Fight: Enchantress
My pick: 7* R4 sig 190 Onslaught with 6* sinister relic
Deaths: 0
Onslaught's neuroshocks completely counter miss, so that takes Enchantress' most annoying spell out of the equation. Nothing too special node-wise, just play around the spells and make sure you know how to fully evade the sp1. Revive counter will greatly vary here depending on AI results, so make sure you are prepared.
Fight: Thor Ragnarok
My pick: 7* R3 unduped Vox with 5* venom relic
Deaths: 0
Gotta pay attention here. Thor's combo rises quite swiftly unless you intercept him, and combined with his normal 20 hit timer he gets his power gain constantly. However, if you intercept him there is a 30% chance he'll auto block and stun you. Bait heavies to remove the brace buff so you can throw specials and remove the power gain. Vox's undermine lets you counter the auto block, however any character who is reliant on throwing sp1s will work here.
Fight: Arcade
My pick: 7* R3 unduped Shathra with 5* switch relic
Deaths: 0
Basically just a stun immune Arcade, don't throw heavies too often or you'll get faltered. If you know the proper spacing for the sp1 this should be quite easy.
Fight: Leader
My pick: 7* R2 sig 20 Mantis, no relic
Deaths: 0
Was very worried about this fight, took Mantis up mid run and learned to play her on the fly. Bait sp1 since the sp2 has loads of block damage, and stay aggressive due to close encounters.
Fight: Bullseye
My pick: 7* R3 sig 80 Sinister with 5* sinister relic
Deaths: 0
Nothing special node-wise, however this is Bullseye so unless you have Sinister be ready to die a lot. If you do have Sinister you are basically god mode here and this will be easy.
Fight: Torch
My pick: 7* R2 unduped Spam with 6* ant man relic
Deaths: 0
Not a hard fight, if you need to heavy attack to remove the protection just make sure you use another one immediately after to minimize the smoulder gain. Bring a character who can consistently apply 3 debuffs and you're set.
Fight: Serpent
My pick: 7* R3 sig 80 Spiral with 5* ghost rider relic
Deaths: 0
Nothing too crazy in terms of nodes, however if you don't have Spiral you will likely die because of Serpent and his perfectly balanced mechanics. If you don't have Spiral or Wiccan you will ABSOLUTELY die a LOT, make sure you have a good counter before going in.
Fight: Spiral
My pick: 7* R3 sig 140 Prowler with 6* sentinel relic
Deaths: 2
Brought Prowler since he's falter immune, but I forgot that Spiral was also falter immune, so I lost quite a bit of damage from the sig ability, whoops! Play around combat deja vu and make sure you block the first hit of a special attack if her dancing blades are active since they will be fired automatically. Mind the blades and reparry a lot. Died twice due to dumb mistakes and block damage, could probably cut it down to 1 or maybe 0 with some good intercepts.
Fight: Dust
My pick: 7* R2 sig 40 Ironheart with no relic
Deaths: 1
Ironheart's incinerates completely turn Dust off, and once you get 5 or more debuffs you can safely parry any basic attack without worrying about the unblockable. Messed up right at the end so one death here.
Fight: Thanos
My pick: 7* R3 sig 160 Sunspot with 6* gambit relic
Deaths: 5
It was going so smooth man... oh well. Mind the inverted controls and make sure you can consistently evade the sp1. If you push Thanos to sp2 you are in big trouble. Watch the unstoppable and play it slow (ie. just use heavies for the most part with the occasional special punish). With Sunspot, get about 4 stacks of flare state (you could potentially go for more depending on AI and sig level), then spam sp3s to keep them up at all times for max damage. Once you've passed the final protection threshold at 25%, go for a sp2 nuke. Played really badly here so I died a lot, definitely could've been cheaper but not a solo.
The Final Cost:
1 L3 revive
8 L2 revives
Bunch of L5 and L3 potions
Not a single unit (though that might change with the next 2 quests)
The Rewards:
Didn't form anything so nothing to open today. We'll have some next time though.
Final Thoughts and Tips:
1. A lot of these fights are very niche and require very specific counters or else you'll get clapped (ie. Serpent). If you don't want to tear your hair out at the roots, I would recommend waiting for those counters if you don't have them already
2. The choice nodes will bring in your new champion at full health, so no need to worry about healing up before switching champs
3. Boost up. Pretty self explanatory.
4. Gotta rank up Beta Ray Bill and potentially some other characters before starting quest 2, I'm bone dry out of T6 cosmic so expect a while before the next guide.
5. No more hibernation for ol' Grootman. And absolutely no more arrogance regarding content difficulty (check my comment here for context: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/comment/2815860#Comment_2815860)
Thanks for reading, and as always, hope this helped y'all!
