Re: Elder Difficulty – Feels Predatory and Not Proportional to Rewards or Last Month’s Tuning
I admit I don't love elder format but that's mainly around losing access to synergies, I have virtually nothing else to use revives on so I'm happy to spam them if I screw up a champ selection or cop a bad node set for my roster. My valiant alt has no chance of doing elder and I'm OK with that because the roster sucks.

They are going to make you wait 2 years.
Re: Green Falcon changes graphic
If that's what you think, I recommend you pick up classic Vision, and remind yourself just how pillow-fisted he really is.
DV's damage is vastly better than classic Vision.
I'm not going to argue about the Power Control - DV clearly isn't as good there. But he's far better at Heal Block, has Coldsnap/Frostbite immunity, and a Miss mechanic that gives him free openings, and makes him feel like he's actually Vision: calculating, and using his abilities to control the fight.
He's now useable. Sure, he's "Mid".
But that's okay, because making him useable, and more enjoyable to play was the stated aim.
No, it shouldn't have taken seven months to make it happen. And yes, I'd have preferred better Power Control, too.
But whilst I would have preferred him to be stronger, on a par with Deathless She-Hulk, I'll settle for there being an actual playable version of Vision in the game. Mines likely to stay at r2, but I'm pretty sure I'll be pulling him off the bench fairly regularly, just because he's actually a bit of fun to use, now.
Re: Remind me what has changed with Spider-Woman
After taking all of this in, we are going to be adjusting Spider-Woman’s update to better align with our goals, while keeping the identity of Spider-Woman intact on Offense. We will still be removing Ensnare from her kit, as we feel the general Ability Accuracy Reduction is what makes her unhealthy on Defense. However, alongside this removal, while her Fumble is active, her Opponent will not be able to evade. One thing to note on this, since her Fumble is a Severe Debuff, this makes her an even stronger and more reliable Evade counter.
They removed the Ensnare debuff and tied the evade counter to Fumble which is severe debuff so it cannot be purified or cleansed. This seems like a positive change.
As for the AAR… it is a double edged sword. It can shut down nodes that benefit the attacker which makes the fight unpredictable. This also seems like a positive change imo.
Pulled her recently from a titan crystal… Looks like she got buffed 🤷
Re: Elder Difficulty – Feels Predatory and Not Proportional to Rewards or Last Month’s Tuning
Rewards don't always justify the changes. By that token, they can make any piece of content as arduous as they want if they add enough Rewards. That's just not the case. You need several factors with recurring content. You need a balance of challenge, reward, and enjoyment....something that isn't an exact science, so there's a fair amount of room for space in that, but when it's out of balance it's painfully apparent. You also need something people can grow into over time, considering it's a monthly occurrence. On top of that, you need to make sure that the challenge level sufficiently motivates people to continue making an effort month after month. Without that, no one cares enough to keep completing it and growing.
I know there is a subsect of Players that strictly do things for the Rewards, but the game is much more than just that. There's always been an element of enjoyment that factored into motivating people to keep doing it month after month. That's been taken away because of the imbalance. I'm sorry, but some of us care about that. Just like Banquet. Now, don't get me wrong. It was a huge success, and with Realm Events it gives a level of commradery. The problem is some of us remember when it was Gifting, and we mostly enjoyed sharing gifts with our Ally. That's gone out the door because of a few reasons, but at the heart of it is people seeing it as just a vehicle for Rewards. Now we gift ourselves. Not the same.
Re: Elder Difficulty – Feels Predatory and Not Proportional to Rewards or Last Month’s Tuning
When has EQ EVER been intended to be everest-like? Let's be honest, that's what it is now. Some Fights are simple, sure, provided you're bringing the right Champs for the Nodes. Otherwise you're chipping away. Then you have the layer of sharing Health, which uses your Pots or Revs or both, if you're not the absolute example of perfect game play. Then the fact that you have 15 Fights, and if you're out of Resources and make a mistake you have to start all over again. 3/4 of the way through that's a pain in the ass. Then you have to keep Ranking each Class to keep up every month because the R1s mostly make long work of it.
I remember how it was to have to put work in and adjust to Cav, TB, etc. That was all well and fine because we knew it was a stepping stone. This is just obscene. I don't know a single soul that enjoys this format in my circle. None. I would love to have the numbers to see how many bother doing EQ anymore compared to the numbers that did.
Re: Elder Difficulty – Feels Predatory and Not Proportional to Rewards or Last Month’s Tuning
That's not a solution either. It needs to be redesigned.
I can do it. That's not the question. The issue is it turned EQ into something that is more stress than enjoyment. Rewards don't really matter when you ruin the essence of what something is. Honestly, this idea that people just want to be spoon-fed whenever they have an issue with the difficulty of something is so dismissive. It never occurs to people that the actual content itself is overboard.
If you have to accommodate for people who think they need to go down in notches, then it's too much.
Re: Elder Difficulty – Feels Predatory and Not Proportional to Rewards or Last Month’s Tuning
Those Rewards aren't worth it for where I'm at, honestly. It's a miserable experience. It's not enjoyable in the least. Sorry, but I'm not going to sugar coat it. I'm far from the only one that feels that way.
