Re: Are You Going To Do Wheel of Fate?
Eventually, once I get the few counters I'm missing because they decided to be **** and made the quest the most annoying restrictive piece of trash they've ever put out (worse than Act 6 back in the day) lol and the worst part is the rewards are quite underwhelming considering all the effort required.
Re: Anyone else have their game stuck on the losing screen
Looks like it's an issue above us with our hosting, seen folks say other games are affected. We're investigating and will provide more updates when we can!
Re: Is Kabam ignoring f2p players completely?
F2P friendly doesn't mean free or low cost, it means accessible at no cost. HoF was F2P friendly. In everything Kabam does spenders are almost certainly going to benefit more, or at least more easily, but when the only required cost is units then it is by definition F2P friendly. I got Dark Phoenix with units I earned through grinding and not through spending. I recognize not every did that, but everyone did have access to that.
For champions locked behind a cash paywall; there's no denying this is an increasing issue that needs to slow down (or really stop). Exclusively paid access to champs is unfair. Early access, sure. But when our best hope is that MAYBE a year later we might have a shot, that's a problem.
As far as the content goes, there's absolutely nothing wrong with Kabam making content that only a small handful can do right away and others have to work towards. We're still seeing posts of players looking for advice on Epoch, right? Well I had that done in the first week, why didn't those guys? Because they had to work towards it and build up their roster. So the idea of aspirational content is not an issue and hasn't bothered any of us before.
The problem in this scenario isn't the mindset, but rather the content itself. The rewards aren't worth it for the players that can do it now, and they will be worth even less by the time the players that can't do it now can do it later. The content has got to be the worst late April Fools prank anyone has ever pulled, because they can't possibly be serious with this garbage.

Re: Are You Going To Do Wheel of Fate?
I’m undecided. With a couple of exceptions, I have good counters at R2 or better. But…They created highly skippable everest content. I'm not interested in that level of time commitment in a style of fights that I hate (several long, annoying fights and then do it over again) for rewards that are less than interesting (FOR ME), even if I do actually have the breadth of roster for it. I don't feel like I'm giving up anything by skipping it.
I need to guard my time. With events like this, I sometimes find myself sucked into particular fights I know will be painful. While I’ve always finished those type of fights, what accompanied the post-euphoria feeling was a sourness that turned me off to MCoC as recreation or leisure activity.
Time is my most important resource. Ten minute-plus fights (if that’s even accurate) in the face of the current rewards very well may be more than I’m willing to give up.
In a strange way, I’m pleased the prizes for Wheel are as underwhelming as they are. That makes it feel 100% optional and, if that was an intentional design choice, then I think it may have been the only respectable one here.

Re: My 11-Year-Old Account Got Banned Out of Nowhere — A Veteran Player’s Frustration
I never seen a game developer fail so bad and the stash system makes it worse when players lose resources bcos they were unjustly banned for daysWRONG! I was banned, and i have, and always had my game from google play. Is that unauthorized source? They were doing it blind, and on friday afternoon just before the end of work. My ban was lifted after 3 days. Lost tons of resources from my overflowTo be clear, Kabam is not banning 10,000 people randomly hoping to catch a hundred cheaters in there. Kabam is banning players using unauthorized game clients because unauthorized game clients are extremely difficult to police, and thus they are prohibited. If they allow players to play with unauthorized game clients, they will essentially be unable to catch almost any cheater with the foresight to use those clients and not do anything ridiculously obvious.Yep burn the whole village because there are some criminals in there. Let's kill 200ppl in one village cause there are 5 thieves and 3 murderers hiding amongst them. Lets finnish off 192 innocent people to get rid of the 8 criminals amongst their midst. In general it'll be better for the community of all neighbor villages/cities. Screw those 192 people. They should have known better!I’ve been playing Marvel Contest of Champions since December 2014—yeah, nearly 11 freakin' years. I’ve stuck around this long because I’m a die-hard Marvel fan and love the combat mechanics. But man, it hasn’t been easy. There were times I wanted to rage-quit after getting destroyed by insane quests, losing progress because of cheaters in BG mode, or dealing with endless bugs and connection drops mid-fight. Still, I never gave up. I wanted this game to thrive.Let's see 10k players out of what 600k I think the game will be alright
Over these 11 years, my life changed a lot. I moved countries, built a family, and my daughter literally grew up watching me play this game. It’s been part of my freakin’ DNA.
Then yesterday, I logged in and boom—my account was banned.
The reason? "Using a modified client." ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I’ve been clean for 11 years. I don’t even sideload apps—my APK’s straight from Google Play. Whatever new "detection system" you’re testing clearly messed up. Check the logs again. Check my play history. Check literally anything.
If you’re gonna mass-ban longtime players over false flags, who’s left to keep this game alive? We’re the ones funding it, grinding it, breathing life into it. Fix this. Don’t make loyal players like me feel like our years of support mean nothing.
These unauthorized clients and unauthorized distribution channels were *always* prohibited. They didn't just make up that rule. They just didn't have the ability to consistently catch and ban them until now. But they are not banning lots of innocent people hoping to catch cheaters. If you're running unauthorized clients, you aren't innocent. You're doing something explicitly prohibited. You're breaking the rules.
If you want to argue against the rule, feel free. But the recent ban wave is not targeting cheaters and generating lots of collateral damage. The ban wave explicitly targeted unauthorized clients. It is targeting them deliberately, not accidentally. If someone was banned who wasn't running such clients, that's a separate issue. But the vast majority of them were, if not all of them. They are not innocent bystanders.
I hope the compensation makes up for the terrible mistake
Titan crystal at least
Re: Kabam distraction tactics
As has been said, no distraction tactics, just a swing on some content that's not connecting with folks currently. The ban wave was intended to counteract cheaters, and with the number of reports in BG prior it was a top community concern we wanted to address. We've acknowledged there were issues in the implementation and the review for that is ongoing, we want to make sure it doesn't happen again. But the through line through all this is there is no conspiracy, just two different things that both happened in the past week. Timing is coincidental.I'm waiting 4 more days to have my ban removed and no answer at all. A lot of stash probably gone already. Whole alliance have 3 wars ruined. Raid - ruined. No answer from the team at all apart from generic response from support.
Also, jokes about Miike vs Mike aside, please do not spam posts, of any kind.
It really looks like distraction tactics - first couple of bans removed but a lot of them left, than WoF... really dissapointing behaviour.
Re: Battlegrounds placement issue/bug
Do you know how standings work in G.C. ?
Different from Victory Track where you progress thru ranks needing certain # of wins each and every time.
G.C. rankings (Uru and up) are based on overall point rankings, and each level has a certain # of players in it.
Didn’t think you needed to actually earn 1 point in order to start being placed higher than URU 6 (just play a match ? Not need to win one ?) as to why you saw URU 6 for a while.
(*maybe your standing doesn’t update real-time, but only occasionally, since it needs to take into account rest of player base as well ?)
But anyways, if higher tiers are for people down thru 10,000 people (for example, not gonna go look it up), and if there are not even 10,000 people yet in G.C. Then EVERYONE will be higher than URU-6.
And from URU-1 (maybe where the very bottom of G,C, is currently at ?) then winning 1 more match may indeed be enough to move you up past everyone else with no points yet, into Gamma 4.
With the amount of Tickets that Support is dealing with, this didn’t need to be one of them.
