As soon as I saw the first appearance crystal I knew that despite the 84% chance of me not getting a 2nd shiny Jane Foster that there was a 100% chance that I would get another shiny Jane Forster which is exactly what happened. I hope I hit top 2600 so I can actually pick the shiny champ I want. If it hit 1% I’ll most certainly get a 3rd shiny Jane Foster from the rank rewards

That post was made yesterday. The alliance event is tied to banquet because it gives the crystals. They go hand in hand. You don't have to read everything but it's good to read some things and then you wouldn't embarrass yourself here on the forums.

I assume you didn't even read the post now as you'll see in that post, they say all crystal sales end at the original event time.
