At the end of the day, the game isn’t ready for 7 Star Hulkling, Hercules, or Cosmic Ghost Rider - and we didn’t feel like any other yet to be released Cosmic was in the right spot for this Event. There was a period of time we discussed adding Carnage to the Crystal so there would be one Champion per class.

Would that have made this event better?

Ultimately, I felt very strongly against putting an objectively less than desirable Champion in this Crystal, and creating the possibility of a lesser experience for Players opening 1-2 Crystals, simply to have one Champion per Class - so I pushed pretty hard against that.

The way I see it, is that this keeps the Crystal loaded with Champions at the top of their Class for players engaging lightly in the event, while guaranteeing one of the 6 for those going all the way to the end - on top of the Selector that gives a copy of one of the other 5 - creating a much better chance to walk away with all 6 Champions.

Why isn't the game ready ? Because they are attackers ? Yet your happy with a 'balanced' serpant ?
Herc I 100% agree with as he's a cheat for story content, but the other 2 we are 100% ready for.
Tigra is probably faster than the pair of them in the right hands.
I'm not even complaining I dont mind who's in the pool, I would just love to know why you think the game isn't ready.

Agreed I've no idea why they had to go and ruin it like this, and on top of this pat themselves on the back live on stream saying "oh yeah we did a good job cause nobody guessed it which was surprising"... Lol you'd have to be pretty dense to hype an event up this much then go ahead and release a completely different champ than what people were expecting based on how the event was presented to us, and on top of that make her a meta defender and lock her behind a huge pay wall.
I would've taken a buffed Groot a million times over this, hope they'll learn from this (not the first time so here goes nothing).

But for real, you can't expect them to add the champs people expect AFTER they've already decided on who the champion will be.

Not to mention it's not Kabam's fault people made up their own expectations about the event based on a tease that didn't support any of the things players decided the event was.

Not really salty, just annoyed that they hyped it up so much only to throw a curveball towards the end, you can't tell me they didn't know people would be expecting Hulkling or CGR after every other champ was revealed. This was supposed to be Omega Days 2.0 but better with powerful champs that already exist as 6* based on how they presented it, and it's not. Wasn't Omega Days the first? Doesn't Kabam usually make some changes to any event that happens if it has not been established for a long time? You can't blame them for people making up scenarios .

Especially when we have people who even used a mistake they made in a poll as proof of a champion. Oh and don't get me started with the Octopus based on Crashed's (?) comment.There was nothing they could do except just reveal Phoenix in the beginning itself.

And for those expecting Annihilus and Thor, Dark Phoenix is a way better option.

The spring cleaning event was exactly the same as last year but with different names, so yes I expected the same only with powerful champs that are already 6*.

I can guarantee you not a single soul on these forums expected Phoenix you're just sucking them off at this point, get well soon bud.

It was not the exact same. There was no new 7* released through the event last year unlike this year when Red Guardian was released through the solo even. So yeah,Not the same.Oh right . Just like Dark Phoenix

Where did I say players expected a Phoenix? I said they didn't. And that the only way they could stop players from creating their own expectations of who the champion would be, was if they had revealed it at the beginning.

That was one change not multiple changes, and the difference is that one change made the event better not worse. Adding Dark Phoenix (not even to the crystal but to the last milestone essentially locking her behind a pay wall) made the event worse than it would've been if they just went with Hulkling OR saved Galan for the event and instead sent Dark Phoenix to the Titan. You can make a case for CGR and Herc but Hulkling? We literally have Tigra and FAM in the crystal, there is no planet universe or reality where we are ready for those two but not for Hulkling, it's laughable that they even think Hulkling is that strong and try to use that as an excuse. Are they not aware of how fast Tigra nukes in the right hands or how strong of a dual threat FAM is? Crazy attacker cause nobody's immune to his damage and an even better defender than Hulkling.

Again, you wanna suck off the devs go crazy. My opinion is they missed the mark because of how they presented the whole event initially and how they built up the hype around the champs being announced week after week, therefore I'm not gonna spend and that's not gonna change.

Nah, I'd rather Galan in the Titan where I have a chance at pulling him instead of having to wait 2 years before he gets added to the crystals.

And it's really not up to you to decide which champions is too powerful to be added to the crystals. They Literally have the data about those champs. And as much as you think you know the game, you don't. And this is not just about BGs, but the game as a whole.


Please show me where they said the 6 champs will be from the basic pool, or even be 6 champs in a crystal, or that it will be a carbon copy of Omega Days. People saw nick and Apoc and then decided all the other details for themselves.

Dark Phoenix is a special champ and it makes sense she's not just sent to the Titan like every other champ.

Oh and I'm glad you went from "exact same event with different name " to "Just one change, not multiple changes".

Also, did you just say that adding a champ as a paywalled reward made the event better(re: change to spring cleaning). And then you are complaining about Dark phoenix being paywalled?

Were you not here for the past three weeks when they revealed iBom, Tigra and FAM who are 6* indeed and are from different classes as well leaving the 6* cosmic as the final one to be announced? That's because Red Guardian is not meta, I spent to get one myself not because he's meta but because I like the champ and if I didn't have him it's not like I would be at a disadvantage in comp game modes so it's whatever. Dark Phoenix on the other hand well, they even called her a potent defender themselves and her abilities definitely fit that description, she will be meta. Of course I have a problem with them locking a meta champ behind a pay wall.

Players had already came up with the predictions long before any of the other champions were revealed. You expect them to say "Every champ will be from the basics , except Cosmic. " Good luck with that.
