You can get him from completing these 4 Nightmare Raids, we are currently on our 3rd one.I'm talking about Mr. Fantastic.
This is completely free and doable.
He was also originally available for Free through his period of Saga run.
There are many thing Kabam is heavily monetising, but my Mr Sininter is not on of them.
This currently Realm event, those that spend are not aiming for Mr Sinister, but the High Evolution.

Are the masteries supposed to reset after each chapter? I am on chapter 3 and have none all of the sudden.

So instead of doing important things to make everyone happy, like fixing AI issues, bugs, input issues. The gap between f2p and whales. You make events no one asks for. Which is still some how gonna benefit spenders. This arcade mode is so bad it’s funny. Do you guys listen to the community. Or do you only listen to whales. Until it’s a boycott you listen. Until it’s your wallets getting hurt you listen. Just fix the game and make it fair.Just to be clear, 100% hearing y'all on feedback with regards to Doom Cycle, have passed along those concerns to the team and leadership. However, want to dispel the rumor that this mode's development did not take away from fixing bugs, working on our improvements to ai, input issues etc. It's a large team here at Kabam that all do different things. Completely valid to not enjoy the mode, we're trying out new things. Gotten some pretty strong feedback about it so far which is fair. But it did not come at the expense of those other things.

If the mode was made for engagement being able to do 3 runs, then 1 a day isn’t going to keep me engaged. Being able to play once per day is going to frustrate the hell out of me I can’t actually spend time getting into the game and playing it. If you wanted to get people engaged this is not the way.

I just played it. Was tapping on screen n my attacker wasn't even doing a thing.
3 hits of doombots then 1 hit of my attacker.
Also, can't even heal the champ during waves in that screen of choosing 1 of 3 options to help in next wave round.

Three free entries per day.So couple of things here, first as others have said this is another experiment, like force recruitment, trying out new and novel ways to make interesting limited time content like our side quests which pretty much everyone agrees had gotten a bit stale/boring. So gotta try out new things and tweak and improve. As for dev resources, the nice thing about these two new modes is that the impact was relatively minor and just not having them would not have impacted the issues in other modes the way you might think. Its not a one to one stop doing this and focus on that.I’ve really been enjoying these side games that have out of the ordinary mechanics to them. Dimensional Arcade especially brings me back to the flash games I used to play while pretending like I was paying attention in class.
Ultimately the core of MCOC is a game we love and we're not moving away from it, we just want to add fun new ways to engage with the game in addition to that core.
I do think that it seems over-aggressively monetized. To get all of the rewards, you need to clear the story (8 entry tokens) and clear shatter mode 25 times (25 more entry tokens). That’s a total of 33. The tokens refresh every 24 hours. Is that three per day or only one? If it’s three, that’s not terrible. If it’s only one… that’s not good.
I discovered the hard way that it is extremely easy to accidentally exit mid run because of the big X button on the top of the screen. There also needs to be a way to review the perks you’ve picked up mid run. I took one that gave me a “random rare drop,” but I had no way of learning what that drop was. Not ideal.
Anyway, I really enjoy it. I could see myself sinking real time into a silly mode like this. But it’s got a *lot* of rough edges right now in need of smoothing.
