Some of the numbers are better (was one 50% chance and now three 65% chances), but what was the likelihood they were going to say they nerfed anything? I'd like to see the explanation and demo of how his SP2 is better in practice. Right now, it's pretty good and the damage and power control are readily accessible. He's just too weak as a 6 star, even ascended.

The issue is the chance of it occurring didn't matter if he was awakened. So better for him being unawakened but worse overall.

Also making the power burn a steal instead is disgusting in a bad way. What the hell, Kabam?

I think the idea was to make the Even SP2 power control and the Odd damage, where Even now has power control and damage and Odd was pretty much worthless most of the time except for keeping power low if you did it accidentally. Unfortunately, they picked Power Dissolve (and it's a debuff (boo!) instead of a passive effect (meh) or a buff he puts on himself (🤘!) that benefits from his sig (🤘 🤘!) = worse) and it doesn't do anything (except give free willpower healing) unless they're losing power, so you have to have already done an Even SP2 or an SP3 before the odd SP2 to get to the damage.

Unless I'm missing something, it would seem to be worse in general. They've pumped up a weak aspect a bit and took away what was actually really good.

Cycling Even SP2s would keep the opponent unable to perform any specials while doing steady damage... and now I see why they made it worse. Kabam, you're not slick with your Kabampaign to keep power control and regen sucking throughout the game. That's annoying. I was really looking forward to a Dr Voodoo strong enough to take to rank 4. Now I'll have to see how annoying this new loop is before I put resources towards him.

SO many more interesting Mutants to include and we're getting ANOTHER reverse controls neuroshock telepath????

Blink or Pixie could do really cool and fun things with teleportation, a mechanic we barely see besides Nightcrawler.

Polaris would be another super fun one where the Kabam team could take the concepts of Magneto and pull a champion into 2025 with a magnetized kit.

Banshee and or Siryn could have really cool screaming mechanics.

Tempus could have some ability or special that 'turns back time' for them.

Marrow could grow and throw her bones.

Elixir could have his dual Gold Heal and Black Death abilities.

Mercury could shape shift in a melty fashion and create sharp blades or use her body to avoid attacks.


But sure, lets give us ANOTHER omega level telepath with similar kit abilities to Jean Grey and Onslaught...

She was just in deadpool and Wolverine and is making a big comeback in the comics right now. The game is about promotion of the marvel universe, all champions are approved or selected by marvel.

...is she? She had a MASSIVE role in Tom Taylor's X-Men Red in 2018 and a prominent role in Steve Orlando's abysmal Marauders 2022.

In the new Fall of Ashes era which has gone one for over a year in post-Krakoa, she's just been mentioned like twice as a member of 3K. I wouldn't call that a big comeback.


They could've at least given use the wrinkly-faced version to make her more interesting and unique. We don't have any old hags in MCOC. She just looks like Moondragon in a trench coat.

Tbf i don't think we have any old guys either besides Odin and Serpent and you know they are old because of the beard design

I think even Maestro doesn't have wrinkles
