I think Gladiator is a very solid champ. And Karate Mike does some amazing stuff with him.

But I think in terms of questing, Gorr is more sustainable with the regen. Access to three different forms of DOT, and degen if your opponent is immune to one of the DOTs. Undermine goes a long way. And Gorr does phenomenal damage with a safe playstyle - it’s almost boring, actually.

I feel he has far more utility to handle the wide array of nodes and champs you’ll encounter going through content.

Why? Cause you're TB and you want Valiant rewards? That's not how the game works bud of course you're not going to get the same rewards as an endgame player, but when you do you will get those rewards. I'm currently sitting at 28k prestige and I really don't see how any of the rewards above me would put me at a disadvantage if other people get them, the difference isn't even a big one.
