If you absolutely have to rank up one of them, go with Sentry. I would only do Blue Marvel if you really like him.

I pulled BM this week from the Titan nexus we got from the #Villain Ordeal challenge. Took him to R3 immediately because he looks cool and he is fun to play. I already had Sentry at r3 as well. I am planning on bring both for the Abyss challenge because honestly 7* are overpowered for it and it seems like the perfect place to have fun with both of this champs.

I don't really have any issues with the way Sentry works and I feel like the people saying he sucks are just misinformed. Yes losing a charge every time you die is annoying, but it is very hard to die while using him and you can get it back pretty quickly. He's just very awkward in the way you actually ramp up: i.e. inflict debuffs to gain buffs and then throwing specials, which is not a very flexible playstyle when you add more complex nodes.

On the other hand, BM has to ramp up every single fight, but you ramp up by simply hitting the opponent which means you can get back into your damage mode with relative ease. He has the foundation to be really good imo. I would just change 2 things: double the number of cruelties his sig grants him, and make it so that for every 10 persistent charges he places one of his passive overloads from the sp3 on the opponent at the start of the fight. I don't have an issue with throwing 3 sp3s at 0 ramp up but it is frustrating that you have to repeat this every single fight afterwards.

This, I don't know how people still use that argument about getting koed and losing charges when 1. you have a whole indestructible with a 30 sec cooldown and 2. if you start losing some hp that sp3 can heal you back almost completely depending on how many bulwarks you had stacked which isn't even hard to do you literally gain bulwarks just by hitting the opponent and dexing. To lose charges with Sentry by getting koed you would have to be a complete potato who doesn't know what they're doing, Sentry is equipped with more than enough tools to ensure you don't lose your ramp after you got it so the fact someone is claiming losing all his ramp is a big issue which makes Blue Marvel better sounds more like a skill issue than a Sentry issue.

Both of them r4, both of them max ramp, Sentry does have Fantastic synergy in there but even without the the power stings it would still be under three minutes. To anyone still saying Blue Marvel, get well soon lol
