You're missing the point. It's not about the gap in rewards so much as it's about having to rank champs you don't want to play just to stay competitive. If the player doesn't rank the prestige champs then they get worse rewards, simple

Kabam is a business. Most software development businesses (I’ve led software development teams for 20 years) talk to their customers, find out what they want, and then write code to meet that need. Kabam’s SOP seems to write code they think is cool, find out that the customers hate it, and then say “Come on, Relax Guy” (in my best Southpark H***r impression).

How can we make the game even less enjoyable for the players? Hmm, let's see, yes, we're going to tie prestige to rewards, which means players will rank champions they don't even want to play just to get better rewards. What idiot came up with this? And guess what i can already tell that every champ that is paywalled is high prestige. Thank you for the wonderful years of playing, but this is really the last straw of how badly you are ruining this game for us.

Some people might miss Rebirth crystals tho but that doesnt really matter too much

I'm about to take my first 7* to R4. More or less shooting dice between purgatory, count nef, bastion, gentle, Fantman, spidey punk and spiderham.
Now it seems that im better of R4 and max sig my onslought with 7* relic. Onslaught is onslaught and he's great, but he's not my fave...

I'm valiant btw.

I can't be the only one in this situation.
