Re: Summoners Fest 2025 ( rant)
"guests get good rewards for just being at the fest." Yeah they do. A lot of them flew out to go there. I also believe it costed $25 to attend. And actually attending an event is a whole lot harder than leaving a stream on in the background while you do other stuff.
Re: It's basically confirmed.....
NO, he will be the first champion to be released as 8* and everyone will get sig 200 centurion with new carinas challenge of completing necropolis using only silver centurion. So excited about it already.
Mathing: The Concept of 1 Million Units
529 battlechips yield 1 unit and 1,360 gold
1 million units would require 529 million battlechips depending on RNG
Milestones aside since there are limited milestones every 3 days
1 fight yields 100 battlechips
So you need to win 5.29 million arena fights
Let's say you average out to 30 seconds for a 4* fight, you need 2.645 million minutes
Which converts to 44,083 hours
Let's say you grind arena after work for 8 hours per day since your day job pays you more than grinding arenas
You need 5,510 days while the game has existed for 11 years which is 4,015 days
Let's say you started grinding units since day 1 of the game, you need to put in about 11 hours per day to accumulate 1 million units not considering the free units and milestones you get from time to time
Let's say you start grinding units now, you need the game to last another 15 years based on 8 hours of grinding a day
1 million units is about $32,258 USD depending on where you bought the units
Any faster way to earn $32,258 USD to buy 1 million units from Kabam? Yes there is
Appreciation in your property and flipping properties will easily yield you much more money than just grinding arenas
Investing in US stock market will yield you more money as well
There are a million ways to make money faster and buying units than grinding arenas
It is not the most efficient way to get insane amount of units
Re: Summoners Fest and Why I quit MCOC
They should have implemented the Disney "Hug policy" imo
Re: Summoners Fest and Why I quit MCOC
Coming from someone who was there, Kabam went above and beyond this year to put on a show for online viewers and in-person guests. At that scale of production, a tight run of show is incredibly stressful to put together. There are a million things to orchestrate, and Dave and Mike had a massive hand in all parts of the event. Seeing them in person was great, but they were TIII-RED.
In my experience, there were a TON of employees staffing the event who were more than happy to have hours-long conversations with. Seeing a Kabam shirt and a green nametag (with Staff written on it, BTW!), followed by "What do you do?" was the way in. It was possible to strike up conversations with developers at every corner. You could chat with art team members, design team folks, UI, UX, etc, and not a single one turned down a conversation. There were a ton of friendly convos, with my personal highlights happening in the Kitchen around the "Beat The Dev" Battlegrounds table, with some great smack-talk. I mean, hell, the line around the Beat the Boss station sparked a lot of friendly convos about effective counters and good strategies.
Of course, I don't want to discount OP's thoughts. I'm really sorry that the OP had such a bad time- I wish I got the chance to meet them in line, or cheer on them at the wheel, or just talk about their journey in person.
I will say, I do wish they printed gamertags on the nametags for the summoners- Or some sort of nametags that weren't just our gov't names. No one knows me by that- but they might know me by my in-game name. I ran into friends and alliance mates who I would have never known if they hadn't said hi, or we didn't strike up conversations, or I hadn't mentioned it in a Discord or Line chat.
Re: Contest of Champions 2025 Q3 earnings report
This guy using the Far Left as a fashion accessory for his personal agenda is so ironic of the ideals of the movement.
This guy's brain has already far left.
Re: BGs: What is an intercept?
I despise how the AI can just dash back and intercept, I swear they're working with different controls than the players. Not to mention the walk up intercepts or even special intercepts
