Forum moderators please help with AW question/issue

Have a question for you. Earlier today we had a person join the alliance. A few hours later the AW season started and this person joined the 1 group war. There is no way he should have been able to join an alliance war with the time frame he joined. I am the leader of the alliance. I feel like it is very sketchy he was able to. Would you know if this was a bug on kabams side or is this person cheating? I dont want the whole alliance docked so bringing this to your attention now cause i will boot him immediately if he is. Thank you for any help with this issue!

If you hadn't started matchmaking before he joined he should be able to. The only blackout period if after matchmaking has started until the end of that war

If he's a Member when you Match, he can join.

I thought there was a waiting period. Dude who joined 2 days ago still could not join but the guy who joined 2 hours before was able to

There's no waiting period to be able to join an AW or AQ so long as they get in your alliance before you begin that day's AQ or find an AW match, and so long as their previous alliance have finished their AQ-AW that the person may have been in the day before. Any waiting (or blackout) period refers to being able to earn the rewards for overall AQ Series, some events like SA, and (maybe ?) AW Season, in order to discourage alliance hopping. They can still earn each day's individual AQ-AW rewards. Although even those Blackout periods have been reduced a lot over the years (and may not exist for low level alliances anymore ?)

You 2 day wait guy had defenders in a previous war most likely @ShadowReptile there’s no “cheating” to join an alliance war.
