Mutant rankup help!

(Disclaimer, I'm a huge noob) I only have six 4*s, and none of them are mutants. But I do have 3 really good 3* mutants, and I need somewhere to throw my ISO. (I do have a 4/40 duped NC so it's not too big of a deal)
Cable (dupe lvl 11, 11/4)
Wolverine (no dupe, 12/4)
Iceman (no dupe, 14/3)
Gambit (no dupe, 1/1)

(Just throwing Gambit in because I'm not sure how good he is. I just got him)

    I would do iceman or wolvy.

    In Common it doesn't matter for 3* because you don't need to use them in the story line. What are your 4*s?

    Guess you don't need to have a mutant in your story team.

    But if you need to do one, rank up iceman.

    My 4*s are Black Bolt, Iron fist, Thor, Venompool, Red Hulk and Joe Fixit. And I know they won't matter, but I'm still at the point where I shouldn't expect a good 4* mutant for a LOOONG time. I was wondering which one of those I should dump my mutant ISO into. And since my NC is doing just fine as the god of defense he is, I'd prefer if he was an attacker
