How to beat new Night Crawler

The swashbuckler stance can still be activated by using drawn out attacks into his block. Like the old way.
The difference is, he is wise to that to, so you’ll have to trick him into keeping his block. He will attack out of his block with a special, or a good opening.

4 hit attacks and use specials behind the parry stun. Beat into his block like thing to more likely force the stance change.
So it's an indirect buff, even better than before the NC trick because his AI was also updated, I assume

    The technique to switch his stance still works just fine.

    Based on my testing, I believe Nightcrawler wasn't altered in some way to deliberately make him immune to the switch trick. His AI is just "twitchier" than it used to be, and sometimes that causes him to twitch out of the hold. However, at other times he doesn't, and the switch trick still works. I can still reliably switch him, I just can't do it consistently on every attempt. But in terms of getting him to switch in a fight, I can successfully switch him in about the same percentage of fights I used to be able to. It just takes more effort.

    I think that would be consistent with the AI issues I've had this month. It varies. Sometimes controls and AI cooperate, and other times it's messy. I've found myself repeating Quests many times at times, so I can get a cohesive pairing.

    @DNA3000
    Alliance mates and myself, found the OG trick to work about 25% of the time. Used too, as long as we knew how, we all got every time

    For a different discussion thread, I video captured day 3 and day 4 of AQ. On day three he switched fairly easily. On day four it was more hit or miss. Also, I was screwing around a bit too much on day four, but the good news is that I was able to capture three separate switches in three separate fights. You can judge for yourself if he's much harder to switch, I'm especially good at switching, or this is exceptionally unusual behavior in four consecutive (for me) NC AQ miniboss fights.

    I’d say just hit while parried or do 3 hit combos

    That's five NC fights in a row as an AQ miniboss, and he switched fine in four of the five fights, and switched with effort in one of the five fights.

    And yeah, I deliberately got hit in the face just so I could prove that I can beat day five Nightcrawler with only 6% of my health. Because that's just how I roll.
