Who makes the most sense to be my next R4 5*

raffsterraffster Member Posts: 1,071 ★★★
I already have Magik, Void and Hyperion in R5; Dormammu, Ghost Rider, Voodoo, X23, Ghost, and Luke Cage in R4.

I have explored Act 5 100% so am beginning to work in getting Cavalier status, start with the Variant and maybe "Easy Path" of LOL.

My choices for next R4 are:

Quake is insane for so much Act 6 and variant provided you can play her to a high standard. Archangel isn’t a bad option either but with quake you get the AA reduction even if they’re immune

Clearly colossus because his buff is basically guaranteed

I would do easy path of LOL before Act 6 for sure. Those T2A and AG will be huge in growing a strong and versatile 5* roster. Takes 3-4 hours. Do it in a couple sittings. Well, worth it.

Which Variant? Have you started either? If not, you will get 6 total 2-3 gems, and two more 3-4 gems for initial clear total. You may wanna hold off a bit, as you will have more options on the horizon.

    What order are you thinking?

@KinkyWizard1 Thanks for the pro tips bro, much appreciated. Those are my thoughts exactly - to do easy path of LOL before Act 6.

I haven't done either variant so I'm probably gonna do the one I'm a little bit more comfortable doing which is the 2nd Variant.

I just pulled 5* Aegon yesterday so it changes all my ranking and leveling priorities completely. I'm putting all resources to R5 Aegon ASAP so everyone else falls next in line.

I don’t know about “pro”, but I get by with a little help from my boosts. Ha.

Anytime, man. It can be tough to figure out a good plan of attack for all that juicy content.

Do you have an awakening gem for him?! I recently pulled him as a 5* as well, but no gem, and unfortunately he’a not worthy of the rank up without it.

Definitely Variant 2 first. It is 10x easier than Var#1.

Your roster does not look great for it though. In that respect, AA would be solid for that goal. Do you have Venom or Rulk?

Just take it a path at a time. Farm some potions. Have a couple boosts handy. Those rank up gems grow your roster in such a big way!

Hype can do damage in there as well. He’s not XL, but large champions don’t glance on heavies and specials, so just stick to those.

Oh! And easy path of LOL has a AG crystal for you. 1/6, but at least it’s a shot.

@KinkyWizard1 Thanks so much bro. Appreciate the advice. Yes, my roster isn't suitable for the second variant but I can learn how to play Hyperion well enough to do completion. I've tried a few times on the first enemy in Chap 1.1, Blackbolt and managed to KO him just using parry/heavy -haha!. (I do not have Venom but have 5* Rulk at R3. Not planning to R4 him since I already have an R5 Void (trying not to have multiple R4/R5 classes if I can avoid it).

Considering all options I've decided to do the first path in LOL for that AG and the 4 T2A completion rewards. And I'll probably just R4 AA anyway to help me in Variant.

    Thanks again, bro.

    No problem!

Rulk is a beast in there. He was on my team for every path. I have a 6* and a rank 3 5*. A couple paths I even brought both. He’s a top option for the whole thing.

Hmmm... okay I'm going to try Gulk and see how far I get, hehe. If I feel he's worth the R4 to complete Variant 2 then I'll probably just do it.

Gulk or Rulk? Either way, they are both good in there. Haha

Gulk is rank 4 worthy for sure. He is key for Variant 1 when the time comes.

Sorry I have Gulk, not Rulk. I have 4* R5 Rulk. Getting confused with all these variations. haha
