What happened to Hyperion Mini Changes?!!

Attached is the image from Miike explaining that they would be switching Oscillate for Sadist on they Map 5 Hyperion mini. On today’s new map, sure enough, Sadist is still there so he can stand there with his indefinite power gain and KO you with one L3.

Is this a bug, or just a lie?

    Yeah yeah, silly me. Here I thought they would address the real “screw you” buff on the nodes. Give the champ with the broken Power gain abilities even more Power Gain, good idea

    If only there was a way to... Lock a champions power gain.... Or even drain it? Perhaps even if you could maybe goad a champion into using special attacks easier..... But that's just crazy talk!

    Yeah, power lock a champ that stands there and refuses to fight until a one hit kill. Try to break the block and he throws an L2 and kills you. Hit him with Taunt and he still just stands there. Don’t you dare dodge him if he does attack, or else now he gets more power gain and kills you.

    Passive Power Gain should not go past the second bar and no Auto-Block should be able to trigger Parry! (That is a long running pet peeve)

    It was pretty hard to do on the old Hyperion due to oscillate defensive mode and empathic lock

    It’s not about being good, it’s about having specific champs. Any champ could beat the old Map 5 Deadpool mini. This combination of buffs on Hyp is necessitating a specific list of champs to be able to counter him.

    Or if only there was a way to nullify or stagger his power gain. Maybe a champ that could even reverse his power gain and has indestructible just in case he did get an L3. Ah, a pipe dream. Maybe someday.

    It is still a pain in the ass. I could always beat the minis in 1 shot, even on Day 5. Not today. I baited 3 specials and he still took out my 4/55 Iceman at 100% health with a single L3. No matter how some of you want to spin it, that is straight up ****.

    If not one person out of the 10 people in your bg don't have a Hyp counter, you shouldn't be running map 5 lol.

    Off the top of my head, Magik, Morningstar, She-Hulk, Vision, Dorm & Doc Ock are all solid champs that can disrupt his power gain.

    Duped Gwenpool, any Iceman, Ghost w/ Hood synergy, Gulk w/ Thrag synergy, or literally anyone w/ Heimdall can tank his sp3.

    The first variation of Hyp was ridiculous and unfair. Now he's a piece of cake. Just survive the first 8 seconds, which can be done by either not engaging, or baiting just one special.

    Again, you may not have the right lineup to tackle him, but one of your other 9 BG mates should have at least one counter.

    I just one-shot him w/ Morningstar using that exact technique. Learn how to bait w/o relying on dex and Spite won't trigger. Genius.

    That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard lmfao. Idk how awful or whatever your alliance is, but in a normal alliance everyone DOES contribute in different ways. Some people bring poison immune champs for the poison paths, some people bring bleed immune for the bleed paths, some bring heal blockers for the masochism path, some bring power controllers for Hyp. Any half-ass respectable alliance has people playing their roles in each BG.

    Every time you speak it becomes more and more clear you have no business running map 5 lol.

    The majority of my bg runs with 5* r3, so I'm right there with you. Some are even using 4* r5. It's definitely not the strength of the champ lol.
