If you exit and it says it will return any items spent, then tickets should be returned?

    No. It says 'Entry fee is required to re enter this quest" you need to pay it again to get back in.
    With tje gate thing, if you say bring spidy to unlock it, and then back out it will be unlocked and free to br going down that path without spidy

    No. You will lose your Entry. What it means is you won't receive any Items collected thus far.
