How does moon knight activate moon waxing exactly?

Can some one please explain to me exactly how moon waxing works or how often it activates.

I cant seem to get a proper answer anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

    @winterthur , nice pic. Is that official Kabam, or created by Trucos or some other group that is assuming that Full/New in game is as long as Waxing/Waning ? I knew that his Full/New Moon phase was always exceedingly longer than just a 1 day (or spanning into a 2nd day depending on time zone) duration in which the moon is technically referred to as being in Full/New phase.

    But I didn't realize it was actually as long as 7 days within the Game (??) Seemed like I remember it lasting maybe 3-4 days back when he was a new hero.

    And @TRONG94 , you do realize the Moon Cycle is only 29.5 days long (not 30-31 days). So it does not follow the monthly Calendar for the beginning of month (and the 15th of the month) timings.
