Home screen doesn't come up when you log in now

Upon logging in to the game, it takes you directly to the crystals screen. Is this intended as a new way to get players spending units or just a glitch?

    Nope, it takes you to the home screen like always. Maybe you had left the game open when switching to another app, and instead of switching back you just acted like you were opening the app from app icon (would have either gone back to where you were before, or reloads if too much time had elapsed).
