My personal opinion on suicides is that they are generally used because people like to see those big numbers on offense and finish fights quicker. However, they are by no means necessary. I have never once ran suicides my entire time playing this game (which is essentially the game’s lifespan) and I have finished every piece of content 100% to date.

Suicides are a way of shortening fights so there’s less opportunity to make mistakes. Some champs like ghost and omega get a decent benefit from running them, but that recoil damage is what gets me. I don’t like being punished for using my specials. Ultimately suicides do not have a big effect on gameplay other than making fights faster, but a good player with skill can always do the exact same fight without suicides, it just might take a bit longer.

If you are grinding for the champ in the 5 star featured then I would say it is essential. Also with a grindy game like this time is the best resource so the fact that you can finish fights much faster is a huge deal. (also some of the best champs in the game works best with suicides)

Okay, yeah I can agree with you on arena. The rest of the game though, definitely not essential. For grindy content it can be useful, so auto fighting in EQ or anything similar. For anything like Variant, act 6 etc. it is much more valuable to have good strategy over quicker fights. Not saying it’s not still useful, but frankly I’d rather run stuff itemless than with less time.

I have unlocked and used full suicides for my legends run, but I have never used them since. Sure, you end fights faster, but if you meet champs like void which punishes debuffs, you are screwed right off the bat. And no, I don’t have a good double immmje champ or OR or whatever. And some content like modok’s lab, you don’t get the luxury to exit and bring the right champs.

Again suicides benefit the top champs like quake, omega red, ghost, corvus, aegon and you can use any of them to complete each lane so suicides is great for Act 6 and variant apart from variant 1 chapter 2

Void is a specialist champ so it doesnt harm him that much for those specific power gain and regen fights. If you are using him for questing(he is pretty mediocre for questing and thats coming from someone who used him for questing) then yes you are correct.

I agree with everything you said here, I think we’re just thinking about it differently. The key word here is benefit. In my mind the benefit for a few champs does not outweigh the benefit for many champs that you get from not running suicides.

I finished all of Act 6 so far and never ran suicides once. I had to run with lackluster 6* and many lackluster 5* champs on the gated paths. There’s absolutely no way I would have finished all of Act 6 if I was running suicides. So in my opinion you have more options if you don’t run suicides whereas if you run them you are limited to champs that work well with suicides or you have to limit your special attacks. I personally don’t like that, so I’ll probably never unlock the mastery.

It really comes down to preference and also whether you have the champs that can work well with suicides. As someone who’s completed all of the content in the game I can confirm suicides are absolutely not necessary.

Just to inform you all. A lot of players runs suicides now, including myself. There are more than enough champions to run suicides at all times and build your roster around suicide friendly champions. That is what I'm doing now. My main champion is Ghost who is suicide friendly, I'm just waiting to get Omega Red and Corvus to complete my collections. I can't even play the game without suicides anymore because it saves me that much time overall.
