I won't help you derail this thread even further, lormiboy.
I presented my arguments and evidence supporting them.
You presented... Well... Yourself. Which is something, I guess.
I hereby rightfully declare myself victorious over lormifallacious and will leave this thread for now.
lol, your evidence does not support your claim, your claim was that it only covered the outage, but it did not say that, it also covered AQ, arena, and individual compoensation for AW, as the mods have stated.
Do not state as fact that which is not evidently true.
Not that I expect you to actually consider this principle. But that's how rational people approach their arguments. Just fyi.
Maybe you should take your own advice. If I dont know for sure I typically talk as relative statements, if I have seen something from the devs to state it is true I will sometimes speak in absolute, but also rational people dont typically run off insulting others as you do, it is called ad hominems. But in general nice no true scottsman fallacy.
Maybe google the fallacies you try to apply to me lmao.
I show you a screenshot.
You say it says something it literally does not say.
I ask why you're lying.
Ad hominem. Brilliant, lormif. Brilliant.
And I did not lie, you stated something you could not prove, that does not make me a liar, also I know the fallaices. Also I was not the one who said it stated anything, that was you, when you stated it only covered the downtime.
That is talking about individual rewards and seasons
It literally says compensation. As I said, this could very well just be a communication issue.
But that is still an issue.
Also, personal question, why do you feel the need to literally lie about what you see right there on your screen?
Elementary lormif.
yes it says compensation, but all of this has been compensation, even the season rewards were compensation, even though we earned it, because trey had to adjust.
Even still yur original argument was "That was purely for the maintenance itself according to the message", yet the message does not say this, it just says it does not cover the AW or AW season, does not talk about anything else. so now it seems you are moving the goal posts.
In addition they covered this in the AQ compensation thread when they stated:
Because there were many different ways that Summoners were affected, we can't personalize Compensation to everybody. This is why we do things like the General Comp that includes a little bit of everything.
Mate, it is literally titled "maintenance compensation". And then it further specifies how this compensation does not include any aw related compensation.
Not only that, it even specifically differentiates between aw compensation and aw season compensation, the latter of which was the adjusted season rewards.
Do not state as fact that which is not evidently true.

Ok lormif.
maintenace is a far cry from only the downtime, it was all part of maintenance.. In addition it does not say "any aw related compensation.", it litterally lists 2 AW compensations, one for individual wars and one for reward season. Please stop making things up.
The maintenance compensation message specifically said that those compensation items did not cover AW. That message came directly from Kabam.
Some alliances missed 1-3 wars worth of win/loss rewards, while some got them. Depending on the tier you are in, this could be a few 3* shards or a lot of 5* shards.
Compensation should have included full win rewards/bye rewards. And no splitting hairs saying βno guarantee you would have wonβ that doesnβt matter. What matters is we are still out 1-3 wars worth of rewards.
And again as stated by Kabam in that message was that the maintenance items DID NOT include AW compensation. Compensation should have also included those lost rewards not just potions and boosts.

βThis does not include compensation for alliances WARS or alliance war seasons.
That line right there states perfectly what you refuse to believe. So again tell us how the maintenance package includes AW compensation.......we will wait.

how are you out 1-3 wars rewards, the general comp gave you vastly more than any wars you would have won. also they clarified in statements that the message was talking about individual wars, not general alliance wars, after all based on reading comprehensions if "does not include compensation for Alliance wars" means everything alliance wars related the next part "or alliance wars seasons" would haev been redundant, because it is part of alliance wars.
While Iβm not complaining at all because I think so far we have been compensated rather well all things considered, OP does have a point if weβre looking at the email that was sent out in game. It definitely could have been worded better.

Because Kabam specifically said that maintenance package did not include those missing rewards. How is that hard to understand?

That did not answer my question in any way, and they have stated they dont do indivdual rewards that way, it is part of the general compensation, I even provided a quote for it earlier int he thread. what they were talking about in the email was individual war compensation (as in for issues with those wars not as in individual users) and alliance war seasons, individual user rewards were part of general compensation
I will quote it again incase you missed it:
"Because there were many different ways that Summoners were affected, we can't personalize Compensation to everybody. This is why we do things like the General Comp that includes a little bit of everything."
Geez guys, donβt start a debate with him. This is something that needs to be answered by someone who actually knows, not just pretends they do. Screenshots have been provided of exact messages. Letβs wait for actual OFFICIAL Kabam mods to respond.
Please note: I am not arguing for extra stuff. Personally I thought the prior compensation was amazing. That being said, the arguments with the screenshots do have valid points and I would be interested to hear official word, not just guessing.
Is Lormif actually Kellyanne Conway? The pretzels that they are twisting themselves into to ignore the evidence right in from of them is staggering. Get a grip mate.

Its funny, you are making lots of logical leaps, and I am replying on what the mods have stated since, so who is the one actually twisting themselves into pretzels , the one ignoring newer evidence or the person relying on a vaguely worded message that has sense been clarified to mean what you dont want it to mean?
I haven't participated in this discussion at all up to this point, however the message sent through in game email was VERY clear and not vague in the slightest. What the mods have done up to this point is damage control and silencing of people who are complaining that the company isn't living up to its own statements.
You talk about logic, but I don't think you have a firm grasp on the concept. Blithely throwing out the word fallacy while ignoring official communication doesn't exactly make you Kant.

If it was "very clear and not vague in the slightest" then how is "does not cover alliance wars or alliance wars season rewards" not redundant, season rewards are part of alliance wars after all? also how does their following statement play into it?:

That little bit of everything isnt actually everything tho. Not in this case of generalized aw compensation
Alliance Wars and Alliance War Season Rewards are different, and they are clearly delineating them into separate categories, or they would have just said "Alliance War Rewards"
Alliance Wars - Covers items used in the specific wars, including boosts and war victor crystals, basically anything you would have used in fighting a war that ended up being worthless/not counting, or rewards you would have gotten from that single war. The compensation yesterday covered that fine I believe.
Alliance War Season Rewards - Covers the potential loss of being placed in the wrong tier due to three wars not being counted, and wars that we were not able to fight that could have led to higher rewards. This includes 5* shards, catalysts, war season crystals, etc. The rewards yesterday did NOT cover this in any way.
Lastly the rewards received last week covered AQ, arena, and general downtime caused by their complete fumble, and had nothing to do with war, or war season rewards. Their own email states exactly this.
Yes, some people got better rewards for the season ending early than they would have if it would have continued, while some people got worse rewards. The equitable thing, especially for a company attempting to make amends for being incompetent, would be to err on the side of over-compensating, not under-compensating. This is why, when their email was taken into consideration, most people assumed they would receive rewards at the tier level above where they finished, as it would show that they acknowledged their mistakes and attempting to cover their bases.
It's all very clear to be honest, and frankly anything said here by the mods or Kabam's surrogates (that would be you) is just noise. Part of being logical is to evaluate sources of information and then give it a weight. Official in game email has more weight than a mod on a forum or a random apologist, and when they are in conflict one should defer to the official communication.
TL;DR their official communication and their actions are in conflict, and they haven't lived up to their stated objective.

Fail.
So then that statement where they say "alliance wars" does not mean everything alliance wars, because they have delineated it into 2. I was told repeatedly in this thread that "alliance wars" meant everything alliance wars, now you are stating that is not the case. I was also repeatedly told here that the general comp ONLY covered the outage, not AQ, not arena, not war
Even in your analysts supports my statement without you wanting to acknowledge it:
"Alliance Wars - Covers items used in the specific wars, including boosts and war victor crystals, basically anything you would have used in fighting a war that ended up being worthless/not counting. The compensation yesterday covered that fine I believe. "
Note nothing in your statement talks about crystal shards, which is what the people here are complaining about, and which I am disputing.
While trying to dispute me, it seems you are doing nothing but agreeing with me.
You really need to learn how to read before you respond. The following paragraph specifically talks about crystal shards, and how they haven't adequately dealt with that.
Further, they are the ones who stated clearly that after 11/15 they still owed compensation for alliance wars AND alliance war seasons. They have delivered the former, but not the latter.
