MCOC is a great game, but in recent months it has had some technical failures, I suggest to the programmers an idea to keep the community happy again to give in the next December calendar a gem to descend a 5-star character, many Summoners at the time ascended some character to be able to advance in the challenges of the moment but the game has evolved and also increased its difficulty considerably making these characters that at the time were useful currently are not.
That is why a gem to descend from rank a character is a great gift to end this year.

    Hey @jpineda91 , what you're asking about is commonly referred to as a RDT (Rank Down Ticket). In the past they've been given in times of extreme changes to the game, or a specific champ. Most recently, She-Hulk. A couple years back they did give us Generic RDTs during the Anniversary month. However, Kabam has explicitly stated many times they have no intentions of doing that again anytime soon.

    While I understand and can appreciate the sentiment here, I wouldn't hold your breath on it occurring. If they are to come next month, they planned it ahead of time. As far as I'm aware, they work months in advance on each EQ, and the surrounding aspects of the event as a whole (i.e. side quests, main quest, additional login calendars). So whatever is coming, has already been set into motion. Although it's not outside the realm of possibilities that they're going to surprise Summoners with a couple RDTs, I just doubt that they will all things considered.

    Personally, I'm a fan of Rank Up Gems. I like moving forward. RDTs are just a way of reversing, and I choose my rank ups carefully. There isn't a single champ I'd want to rank down. In game resources must be treated with care, and choices made must be thought through. Otherwise you may have that champ you seriously regretted ranking up sitting collecting digital dust in your roster. On that note, if that does happen, it's a constant reminder to be mindful of those you do decide to invest in. Best wishes and may your next crystal yield a champ you're after!
