Actually seems to be doing just the opposite...
Confusing a whole host of existing players constantly wondering why the different Colossus are not the same.

Brand new ppl may indeed be overwhelmed by a more complex 1* Colossus, but really they could just fight as normal and not worry about all the fancy stuff.

And with game today, would basically just be for 1or 2 days max before they start to use easily available 3* and 4* champs by then instead.

So initial stated logic for not changing 1* really doesn’t hold up.

They chose to leave the 1* as the original.

This 1* Colossus is a joke. They say they let the 1* as it used to be because it is more friendly for new players, but they didn't care when it was Gamora ! This is a non-sense. Besides, I got killed in variant 4 because I chose Colossus against Iceman, thinking he was frostbite immuned. This makes the fight way harder than it should be !
