How to do the BaitBerry properly

So I having a lot of trouble, as a player who just returned from not playing this game for 6 yrs with baiting specials.
I keep getting trapped in s3s in the arena even trying actively to bait the specials.
I've watched all the YT lessons on how to and it still isn't working. Can people please comment on a video of them doing it so I can figure it out?

AI in the Arenas up to a certain win streak behave extremely, and I mean extremely passively. Usually up to a 15 Streak, AIs behave this way where they just refuse to throw their specials. Past that, you usually get more aggressive AIs, and once you hit a 21 win Streak, they get trigger happy with their specials.

Oh wow, I had no idea about that. It sucks that my hugest arena steak is 17 tho lol. What’s a way to bait the passive ones?

The most success I have in baiting specials is to push them to the wall, then start spamming heavy. Almost every time they will counter by using a special, but watch out for a heavy, if they do then try again. This of course only works if you are able to withstand a 1 or 2 thrown at you, but is usually better than a 3.

for Arena's the norm of baiting specials happens when your at streak 12-20 depending on which one your taking.

All the fights before then are a tad more harder to bait. Once you go passed that, theyr'e quite easy for the rest of the fights / rounds.

Bring power drainers/big damage tankers for the parts you are having trouble with. Iceman, Magik, Visions, et all. If you don’t have enough it’s worth it to refresh them a few times to get through. Good luck

Yeah, save your power control champs for fights 13-15; then use your highest-scouting champs afterwards to try and maintain. Magik, Hawkeye, Vision, Civil Warrior, Rogue, even Vulture.

For more details, the search function on the forums isn't working right at the moment; but just go to Google or YouTube and search for "mcoc Infinite Streak".

Barely. It came out in December of 2014. As of now, the game is five years 53 days old.

5.15 years doesn't seem to be a long enough period of time for the game to exist for anyone to have taken an approximately six year break, no matter how aggressively you round the numbers off.

Some times in the earlier part of the streaks where ai is stubborn, I hold block right in front of them as long as possible. They launch a special some times. I use it as a last resort.
