So which category should I upgrade?

    5*s if you have some good ones. If not, focus on 4*s. While you rank up for increasing base hero rating, focus on diversity for your roster. You should have evade counters, all immunities, robots, burst damage dealers, rampable champs, everything basically. This will help you in act5 exploration and in UC EQ.
