119 heroes in a 6 star crystal and you're probably opening 1-2 a month at most

So we now have 119 heroes in a 6 star crystal. Most of them are not good heroes to use anywhere. We open 1 maybe two crystal a month...and this makes sense to someone?
The featured cost 15,000 shards and in general 4 out of 12 are worth getting.
Opening crystals you wait weeks to open to get one of the 85% of the heroes that are not useful is one way to keep a game stale.
I can convince myself that maybe 30 out of those are worth an r3 but due to the RNG of t5c the number drops to maybe 6 out of 120 that if I pulled and wasted a generic awakening gem I could awaken and then r3. Means I'd still be sitting on t5c because I'm not going to rank something because I can. Takes me back to when I almost quit having to rank up black panther and captain marvel as 5 stars to r4 along with classic ultron. Not going back to that. Quitting would make more sense in retrospect.

That's the nature of the game, the higher you go, the less number of champs that can be usable.
We've said these things over and over and they do little about it. They buff like 4 champs a year. RedHulk is good now. Luke Cage not worthy of a rank up. SheHulk is good now. Spidey Gwen is kinda OK. Hulkbuster in beta is fun but limited. The rest are heroes they made worse for "balance". Another way to balance is to make the terrible heroes actually useful as opposed to nerfing good ones.
Flow mechanic is another topic I'll not touch other than to say there are 3 champs you can use without gray boosts that are good counters. So much for balance eh?

I used to run a 4* Joe in AQ waaaay back in the day when 4-stars were tops. He was my only option for clearing the poison path at the time. He's not a gamechanger by any means that'll help clear endgame content, but he definitely has a place in today's game (including champ-specific sections in Variant 2). That being said, I'd be really upset if I pulled a 6* Mags Marvel Now. He's the personification of a worthless champ (aka arena fodder).
Also nice to pull that 6 mystic awakening gem and Mystic t5cc so I can rank up Loki and awaken him!! .... >:(
