I disagree that people who already had him shouldn’t have gone for him — let’s be real about what this game is. You can either pay or grind to get what you want, and you are never guaranteed because of how the game is structured.
If you pay, you just might open 20 Cavalier feature crystals for Aegon and get 16 3-stars, 3 4-stars and a 5-star Juggernaut. That can and does happen. Or you might get Aegon.
If you grind, you might place 151. Someone is gonna do that. Or you might finish 147 and get Aegon. Someone is gonna do that, too.
But that’s the point: When a person pays, they aren’t paying to not get the character they want. They just don’t get them.
That component is a part of grinding, too. Just because you decide to go doesn’t mean you’re gonna get there, and people have the right to get it started if they want because that is how the game is structured.
Nobody would care if it was Juggernaut. But just because it wasn’t doesn’t mean the structure of the game changes
You're misinformed. The people that already have him at sig 200 who grinded for him are not playing the arena like she did. So if they grinded it out for 3 days like she did your point would be valid but they didn't. At this point we're talking bots or a merc. I know people who actually have those 2.3 mill rosters and they're using bots. This lie that people that score the top 150 in the 5 star arena grind out a whole weekend on the weekly bases is simply not true. They are whales and they have high earning jobs and families and don't have the time for a legit grind of that magnitude.
I'm far from an arena grinder but I've done multiple runs for 5*s before. Just bc someone has a very large roster doesn't mean they aren't playing their account and aren't willing to grind for a champ. I can assure you I know more of that level of player than you'd I'd bet.
You probably do which is why they don't tell you anything. I have real conversations with people and I know the merc game. Someone like yourself who is all high and mighty about the game, why would they share with you that they use bots? Just really ask yourself that question.

People aren’t exactly shy about this sort of thing on line, there’s no reason for him to be lying.
I dare say a lot have used bots, or mercs but don’t be surprised that someone who likes/is obsessed enough to dump - in some cases 10s-100s of thousands on this game - are willing to actually play the game that they’ve invested in so much.

You just proved my point. You said that many use bots/mercs which we all know is true. Anything else you got from my message is diving in way too deep. I will just say not all to clarify that it means every single top player does this because we all know that is not true either.
Seems to me this game could use a 6* arena and/or 5* basic arena to split the focus of larger accounts. When I see these grind numbers I don’t even dream of trying a 5* arena. I can get the 4* basic whenever I want, but the time/units commitment after that is just insane.
As for those who already have the awakened 5* featured champ, I can think of the following motivations for going for a top 150 spot:
1. Warbound title (1st place) 2. A few hundred more 6* shards 3. One more sig level (lol) 4. To limit the number of featured champs (in this case Aegon) in the economy

But you basically said earlier it is all of them which is what annoys me. People love to assume and speculate about what happens in the top ends of the game while never having been anywhere near it. No one claimed that no one at that level is cheating bc we all know that's not remotely true. All I'm saying is that it's not everyone and I wouldn't even say it's the majority honestly.
After doing 160+ rounds for a 4* X23 and not a single 4r5 in the roster I cannot comprehend how you guys have the drive to do it.
Arena is a contest, there will always be someone willing to spend and grind harder than the next guy, it sucks that some cheat but every facet of life has the same problem.

How do you know I'm not near the top level? Don't assume you know my progress in the game either. I took but back I said if I implied I meant all already but anyone who has a sig 200 Aegon going after a top spot for a 5 star Aegon is just not realistic. If you think that happened legitimately you go right ahead.

Won’t touch arena again for a long time besides the Sunday arena. Taking a month break from it at least
