Lag due to in-game Weather effects

I play MCOC on my ipad and it was working fine before the 13.1 update, weather effects and all. But after the maintenance, it started to lag on my ipad when ever there is a weather effect. Is this something that's happening to others as well or am I the only one?

P.S.: Is there an option to disable this effect?

    Hey OP. Sorry that you're getting frame rate drops and lag with weather effects. We have a lot of threads on this right now, so I am going to direct everyone here, and I'll post updates there moving forward. Thanks!
