Eventually? Yes. Nothing to do with 6* though, that's a natural progression of the treadmill of champions.

Well, the lady whose silhouette is for Chapter 4 may very well be the Collector and Grandmaster's (adoptive) mother, and she will drag them off by their ears and thus end the story

But Act 6 won't be until mid to late next year, I imagine. Finish Act 5 this year, deal with 6* champ release first half of 2018, start cranking out Act 6 end of first half, beginning of second.

Given how long we waited between Act 4 and Act 5...I wouldn't start thinking that far ahead.

It's waaaaay to early for us to be thinking about Act 6, but I think DK might be able to shed a little light on this.

There has to be SOMETHING on the horizon? Why introduce 6*s if Act 6 isn't even on the horizon, it should be getting planned out?

Obviously not for release but... the longevity of the game needs story content, how can it stay around until 2020 with that not even on the table yet for suggestions/discussion and where the story is going?

What is the point in 6*s if they just going to be used in event quests???

TL:DR They can't comment on something that far ahead. They are still working on Act 5.

TL:DR They can't comment on something that far ahead. They are still working on Act 5.

Act 5 came about a year after the end of Act 4. While it's very likely that there will be an Act 6, it's not time for us to start planning it yet.

It's good you are not thinking about another Act. Let those of us that are newer to the game make some real headway. It's already too easy for new players to be overwhelmed. Heck give us Apocalypse first then maybe next spring/summer start seriously thinking about another Act.

1. What makes you think 6* champions are only going to be used in event quests.
2. The primary point to 6* champions is that they are a new tier of progress that shows up in content and is available for players to acquire. That's fundamentally different from content that contains difficulty ratchets that players cannot acquire.
3. Even for a rhetorical question, asking how the game can stay around until 2020 when no one is discussing Act 6 seems weird. There's no specific advantage to discussing any specifics about Act 6 when Act 5 isn't completed yet and there's likely to be a significant gap between the end of Act 5 and the beginning of Act 6. The design of Act 6 is likely to, among other things, reflect the median strength of the higher tier players which is an unknown at the moment, precisely because 6* champions are likely to affect that in unpredictable ways. It may also reflect the goings on within the MCU a year or more in the future which are also currently unknown to the dev team.

So the answer to the question "how can the game stay around until 2020 without discussing Act 6 yet" is "without difficulty."
