If opponent has Stand Your Ground mastery, and and activates his block at the right time, in conjunction with the StandYourGround percentage activating and preventing your Heavy from Block Breaking, then yes the combination of those 2 has been said by people could result in a Parry on you. (Arena, AW, and Duels).
Yes it 100% can happen and its as previous posters said.
Stand your ground maxxed gives a 50% chance to resist a heavy hit. If they happen to parry at the same time, the parry will 100% cause a stun.
In addition, you can do it yourself, it is not restricted to opponents. However, most people would not try and parry a heavy, but instead simply evade the heavy, so its only when youve been caught off guard, hence for many people they wont see it very often.
What about parry activating part way through a combo for champions who don’t auto block? This has been an issue since they revamped the parry mastery. It’s really annoying and obnoxious on their end to not fix broken features.

There’s likely cause there’s a short time gap between your subsequent hits in your combo that allows the defender to put up a block.
