Matchmaking suggestion

Since the larger alliances tank the offseason on purpose, just a suggestion why can't the war rating be frozen during the offseason to make this pointless to do? This would eliminate the benefit to losing wars on purpose? Just a suggestion is all.

Then why did we face two opponents that put in 30 total defenders some that were not even ranked up 4 stars and attacked with 4 stars and 3 stars?

It's not frozen. Our rating went up and down during offseason. Look at your history

There should be a penalty for doing this. Not just the highest tiered alliances. It needs to be fair and consistent across the board.

With WR now used for Matching, I’m sure there will be a LOT MORE offseason tanking even all the way down through lower levels as well now going forward.

Ok, might be different below tier 5. I've only ever played tier 3-5, and war ratings up here are locked all off season.

So now we have to all tank the offseason? Back to old school two star wars? That's the only way to see who truly is better. Fight with the same level of champs to try see who is the better of the two alliances.

Incorrect. It happens below and should be frozen altogether.

Tier 6 and below ratings aren't frozen. Also some people don't care about off-season, doesn't mean they're tanking.

To be honest, it should have been frozen all the way down to begin with. For a number of reasons. Also, we've come up against Alliances Tanking, as recently as before last Season, so it's a thing.

Maybe that will change once the new ratings come into line with where they should be.

It never will come into alignment if any alliances are allowed to tank their rating. This is my point. Yes some don't care about offseason but as my picture above showing our history this past offseason those two alliances tanked on purpose. If you don't care about offseason then you either don't do wars period or you give up when you it's unwinnable. These two alliances tanked by not putting full defenders and using low rated 4 and 3 stars for attack. That's not an example of not caring....it's purposeful intent to lower their ratings. So many have been asking for better rewards for the bigger alliances. What about the lower ones that want it too? The system is and still will be flawed for the rest of us. Glad the top tier got their fix but at the expense of the rest of us. Why not fix the whole thing? Make it truly based upon skill as it's intended at all levels. Not just getting good matchups because you found a loophole? Congrats to you all that tanked the offseason. I hope you get matched with top tier in the next few wars and they put you in your place quickly.

Yeah new system they probably should lock all brackets off season, don’t see why not, those guys you are facing probably angry at new nodes and doing no items
