Will Herald Difficulty be available at Level 55 like Canadian?

Personally, as a Cavalier, level 56 player, I've had no trouble w/ Canadian Difficulty. The Sasquatch ambushes are hard, but there is no energy cost, so if I really don't feel like doing the fight, I just redo the quest until I get no ambushes. With this method, I haven't had to use any potions or revives (including Maple Syrup and Poutine), and it's been pretty chill for good rewards. As a result, I REALLY am hoping that next month it will unlock at level 55 and not 60. I was wondering if: 1 - Other people in similar situations agree, and, 2 - If the Kabam gods are willing to reveal the answer to my question.

It'll be a big culture shock when the next side event has an energy requirement and those who have just been quitting and retrying won't be able to do that without spending a bunch of energy.

Oooooo this always gets on my nerves when people do this/tell people to do this.

Like if you can't beat the Sasquatch, you're not ready for Canadian/Cavalier, and you don't deserve those rewards.

Please no. To many threads of Non cavilier players complaining about the difficulty.

this is why I said level shouldn't be used for testing cavalier difficulty-like content. first, it's designed for cavaliers, so they should be the ones testing it. second, level means absolutely nothing in this game. I don't think it proves anything besides how much you play the game, which doesn't necessarily correlate to skill
Exactly. The whole supposed point of canadian difficulty was to gather data to allow kabam to properly adjust a true cavalier difficulty.

It makes absolutely no sense to allow non-cavaliers. And don't get me wrong, I'm glad so many people can snag those rewards.

But from my point of view, just in terms of wanting this game to progress forward, it's just illogical. Seriously, the data they gathered should be along the lines of:

    - too hard for at least 70% of people at level 55+
    - too easy for at least 60% of cavaliers
surprised people agreed with me lol. when I said this on the original thread, I low-key got kinda flamed.

like I get that side events are level locked, and I accept it, but this isn't a typical side event. if kabam is actually trying to get data from this and they're not just screwing with us, then it just confuses me.

I totally agree with you about letting people get more rewards, because if more people like the game, then more happiness in the world and a bigger mcoc community.

But specifically for this, I don't get it. and when they changed it so you would only have to be lvl 55, it confused me further because it in a way pushed them deeper into the hole that levels matter. that was a weird way of putting it, but I hope you get the point. And when there were a million threads about people complaining about the nodes and/or difficulty on the side quest, it in a way proved it.

and to rebut claims that people who have no skill and are p2w can just buy cav and therefore the side event difficulty, you can say that about most content in the game. the only way to prevent that is to hard skill lock something in a way similar to the grandmaster, although I think that if you have moderate skills and your mommy's card, you can get past that, too. people who p2w will pretty much always get past content that their skill cant get them past, or they just have money.

I kinda forgot what I was writing this for, so the end

Canadian difficulty it’s ok I say it’s in the middle, cavalier players get through it no problem while mine cavaliers be complaining that they can’t and that’s because it’s meant for cavalier

They can keep the current requirements.

Just make the fights 2x harder with 2x more nodes.

I’m hoping that this is a flavour of Ch1 cavalier difficulty, maybe a sniff of ch2 on the harder paths.

I believe that their design brief was it needs to appeal to fresh Cavaliers as well as Act 6 completionists.

I’m hoping that a fresh Cavalier can maybe complete the whole MEQ with some item use and explore the first chapter, and gently increase the difficulty from there.

Don't forget that the even though the side event is for data collecting, a monthly EQ wil still be more difficult since you will have the typical 5 champ team instead of 3. If sasquatch isn't an issue for you with a team of 3, then they should increase the difficulty for the actual EQ. If you're struggling with sasquatch, then you'll likely need revives and pots for the EQ.

If the usual epic is the Uncollected side quest equivalent; then the Cavalier difficulty side quest, Canadian or Herald, or whatever it’s going to be called next month should be harder than whatever the Cavalier MEQ difficultly is going to be. Epic often feels a bit more stacked than the MEQ itself, of course it’s difficult to tell sometimes as both tend to be pretty easy for a lot of late game players.

I definitely think if you can’t beat Sasquatch then you shouldn’t be doing the Canadian difficulty or allowed to. I could bear him the first time but that’s cuz I had a whole team set up for Medusa and buffed up line. That was my fault for not bringing a counter. The next ambush I destroyed him cuz I came prepared lol.

Also if anyone has to question some of the nodes and think they are hard they shouldn’t be allowed to do the difficulty. This should be locked to ONLY cavalier players. If you’ve become cavalier at level 55 and still have to question what these nodes are, id go as far as saying locking it to you too. A cavalier player should be able to enter the quest, read the node, back out and select his or her team for those nodes. And on top of that know the difference between a passive and active buff

Think of that Sasquatch as your challenge. to prove you are worthy

I love the elegance and simplicity of this. 👍

Actually... I just randomly thought of a way to plan around Cavalier difficulty.

The gate to Cavalier is 6.1 right?

First node of Cavalier EQ 1.1 (before the paths split out), put the EXACT same 6.1 boss as a gate. Pass him, you’re through to carry on with the quest.

I personally think it’ll be quite fun, until the requirement of a certain content becomes throne breaker lol (but we can always have a less buffed version of GM as the gate keeper).

A gate keeper to prove your worthy actually sounds interesting
I just hope they don't put the collector in UCEQ

Come to think of it, screw level and title requirements.

    Make it a written test.
honestly that would be absolutely hilarious if they did something like that.

@xNig the "gatekeeper" idea sounds really cool. do you think giving everyone a champ to do it would be a good idea? like everyone must use a r3 5* ronin and it's only for the one fight. I can think of ideas for both sides. on one hand, it would be more about skill for those with bad rosters and people couldn't p2w as easily, but people also worked for this rosters. I think if the idea was expanded upon, it could be pretty cool. or maybe instead of each quest, to unlock the entire thing, you have to do some sort of boss fight each month themed around the monthly champs
