Its because you reached 100 hits on her combo meter, which is when a lot of other abilities activate.

Actually no. They added this animation after the recent update . And no it doesn't come after 100 hits it's already present from beginning( the red thunders around the sword not sword opening). Sword opening animation is from beginning but this small thunders is since the last update

Sword opening from beginning means since her launch not match beginning.

It's a feature that was added this month it also appears when charging heavy

That shock thing is actually a visual bug. Those shouldn't be like what when hitting, they are actually supposed to be flowing between the swords not outside
