only thing i disagree on is the word overrated. after the ds sw nerf he was by far the best champ in the game. since then kabam has spent all their energy on making him irrelevant. aw nodes and content that he's nowhere near the best option for and what not. is he any worst than he was before? nope. there's just better champs for every part of the game now. so at no pt was he overrated, except maybe by guys like you who came out of retirement and still expected him to be the best. oh btw, he's currently best champ for certain map 7 paths with epic modifiers fyi. no synergies needed, only parry mastery
They didn't spend all their energy making him irrelevant. That's the nature of the evolution of the game. No Champ will be the best indefinitely. New Champs come out with new uses and strengths, and people will always change their favorites.
Still a Blade-addicted player at this moment. And such addiction even keep me away from using other top skill champs like Nick Fury or Stealth Spidey——they’re too fragile, comparing with Blade’s insane regeneration!
He is so promising in the fights, in every aspect, no doubt.
His on demand regen is still so good, especially at high sig. He's still amazing for lots of things. I don't use mine nearly as much as I used to but he still gets used a lot. I've never understood the Blade hate.
Also just because he is still a hyped champ does not mean he is overrated: it could purely be because people have fun using him, or maybe like me enjoy fighting with him?
I have fun using Ebony Maw. That doesn’t suddenly make him a great champion.
He's still weak AF & HORRIBLE after they supposedly buffed/rebalanced him
How could anyone "have fun" playing the game with a champion that hits worse than a wet noodle
you took that out of context. I went on to say, that I have never thought about needing blade. If i haven't even considered needing him, why would I want him?
I love reading these threads. The bottom line is, you should never ever depend on a single champ for all content. That makes you struggle when the meta shifts, or your favorite champ is countered via nodes.
That said, Blade isnt overrated one bit. He has the best on demand regeneration, one of the better power controlling champs (constant push to sp1 with one combo plus his L1), and has his niche uses throughout the battlerealm. Ive fought AON nodes with him through parry alone. Just because you dont find uses for him, it doesnt mean he is "useless". He doesnt need synergies to be reliable, and his reliance on synergies are like a few other champs anyways. He may not have the flashy damage compared to other champs, but is an incredibly useful tool in your kit.

Kinda dramatic but yeah I personally agree that Blade is overrated, he is by no means a bad champ, but he’s only good under certain conditions which is annoying- by this, I mean that you have to meet so many conditions to get the best out of him, first you have to awaken him, then you need a stark spidey and ghost rider, especially at act 6, having 5* versions of both these champs is gonna be hard to obtain, but even taking up two more slots and restricting your options (also GR’s damage is pretty underwhelming, fights take ages with him and he is fairly obsolete now), and that synergy still only works against villain champs, ignoring half the other champs you will face as either heroes or mercenaries, his danger sense doesn’t even work against some mystic’s abilities, such as Dormammu’s degen, Mordo’s astral evade, Magik’s limbo, and it tends to only shut off Jugg’s unstoppable half the time. I do like the attack bonus however that is still puny compared to some of the newer champs such as Sunspot. I’m a fan of his regen mechanic however his damage at rank 4 as a 5 star simply wasn’t even enough to bypass Canadian difficulty Sasquatch’s regen and I couldn’t even possibly get the K.O. I think that now the game has progressed, there are better singular champs that can do more than Blade and his synergy team, making them better options to bring into content while only taking up one slot. I still like Blade and he has only been my MVP for the final Ultron boss in Act 5.5, but my 4 star Archangel has still been my MVP for pretty much everything else. I think Blade gets his big reputation as he was the best champion in the game, also big players that influence a lot of the community’s opinions, such as Seatin(my boy), tend to love these old champions, however I think many other more recent champs have outgrown him.

do people do that? Your missing my point. When I'm having trouble in a quest, I sometimes think "Quake would be good for this. I wish I had her" or "AA would melt this. I wish I had him" Never once have i said "Blade would make this so much easier. I wish I had him". Even if I had blade, I would need sparky and GR. Both of which I don't like

Well, looks like you need to learn how to use his versatile kit.
First of all... *You are Second of all...You are missing mine. New champs gets released every month. Even the best players cannot straight away decide.. ahh he will be good for that.. or he'll be good for Act 6. No. They decide that after actually taking him to act 6, the toughest content in the game rn, and actually playing with him. Do some gameplay and then come to a solid conclusion.
and No, I'm not taking things out of context. You are very clear that you didn't use Blade in Act 6. Actually you said that you didn't even think of using him. Hence, I believe you are incapable of voicing your opinion.

False. I used Blade in Map 6. I don't need GR or Sparky at all. It's a bonus if you have them for CERTAIN fights, but Blade can put in all the work himself without them. I can survive all my fights with one champ. Other than biohazard/poison/Caltrops, Blade can literally do all lanes except one or two specific fights.
As someone with a sig 200 Doom, s200 omega Red, awakened s120 Corvus, Awakened Ghost, awakened Fury, awakened CMM, awakened warlock, s200 Namor all at rank 5, I still love my s200 awakened 5/65 Blade and he's still plenty useful. Lots of the more recent champs have gotten villain tags and aren't all bleed immune. As kabam tries to shift the meta away from CG, Ghost etc it has been moving ever so slightly back to the old school.
He’s arguably underrated in the current meta. He’s the jack of all and master of none. He doesn’t have the flashing lights of NF and Aegon and he’s been eclipsed by the likes of Quake and Ghost, however he’s an excellent champion for pretty much all of the permanent content in the game - V2/3 excepted.
Danger Sense has proven itself invaluable to me throughout Act 6, he even got a run out in 6.4 for me. His regen is also priceless.
I’m not saying that he’s a meta defining champion, but he’s still one of the best all rounders in the game IMO.
I have nf, aegon and blade all r5/65 max sig.I have never agreed with anyone saying blade is overrated. I use him far more than the other two. If anything I would say nick and aegon are overrated and a step below blade. If I had to pick just one of those champions to keep it would easily be blade. I only use nf for synergy with cmm and aegon I haven’t progressed enough to really use yet.

To each, their own.... I guess

Content has become so expansive that roster needs surpass 1 champions capability.
For his time, Blade reigned supreme. He’s still viable, but he can’t be shoehorned into every team for every path.
