Is Star-Lord as a 5 Star still worthy of a Rank 5?

I have a Tech Rank 3-4 gem that I could use on my either my 5 Star Awakened Star-Lord or Awakened Hulkbuster. However, since I have Hulkbuster as a 6 Star, I’m inclined to use it on Star-Lord.

After that, I could easily take him to Rank 5 (I have 8 other Rank 5s including Aegon). However, I’m wondering whether Star-Lord is worth the Rank 5 in today’s meta (I know his damage is great but he lacks utility [which could be fixed by simply making his power drain on his L2 permanent]). Since I have Aegon as well as the Fury/Quake synergy, I would have plenty of safeguards for maintaining his combo. Still, my goal is to fully explore Act 6.1 and then start on 6.2. Will Star-Lord be useful in 6.2-6.4?

He’s okay but you should wait for a champ with more utility with the damage (like Ghost)

I rate utility and power control much more highly over damage so I'd say wait but then again, it depends on your roster and your future plans as well as how much you like him, personally I'm not ranking him up unless he brings some utility to the table which I don't have

He’s not worth it anymore - you should even use your 3-4 gem on Hulkbuster instead

He has solid damage for long fights and that’s it. His utility isn’t reliable enough for him to be a counter to much of anything. If the fight is long and doesn’t require a specific utility to overcome, then he can be great, but honestly there aren’t many of those where some of the better champs don’t outshine him.
