Omega red???

I recently got a 5 star Omega red. I am currently doing act 5 exploration. Would it be worth it to use the generic gem I will get on him, most of my sig stones on him and choose him to be my first rank 5. Are suicides mandatory for him to be good because I doubt I will ever use suicide masteries. Or should I save the generic awakening gem and rank 5 someone else.

He's worth it without suicides, just takes you longer to finish the fight but I wouldn't use a generic on him. Save that for Nf and Aegon. If you have a mutant AG then he's a solid choice

    Omega doesn't need suicides.
He is good enough without it
Imo, he is worth the generic gem

I run him with and without sucides. His still good without it.

    Against 3.1 Cavalier EQ.

Slip up? No problems, heal right back up and end the fight on 100% health.

I have a 5 star OR sig 100. Not running suicide masteries BTW. Once you lock in 10 spores on your opponents, it is ticking 500 per tick (spores) and aboit 120some per tick(degen). Not my cup of tea but i know i need suicides unlocked and also another 100 sig stones lol

Omega is usable without suicide but nothing spectacular. So if you don't plan to invest in that mastery you should invest in other champs, specially as your first r5.
But if you have some suicide friendly champs the initial units to open the mastery is totally worthy.

I don’t run suicides and found him underwhelming until he got max sig. If u can get him there then he’s prob worth it. His synergies help too, Sabretooth, Red Guardian, Colossus. If u don’t have sig stones + synergies I’d prob wait for champ who needs less all-around investing.

I have a rank 5 / sig 200 omega red, don’t run suicides but really like him! Of course he benefits from suicide mastery, but is an absolute banger without as well! (With high sig).

Very useful for biohazard node or others nodes where bleed is Inflicted! Works in his favour.

Not a single day I regret my choice!

I used a generic on my Omega and gradually got him to sig 200. I had him from 6.2 completion to Act 6 100% and I didn’t run suicides at all throughout it

I can tell you that without them, he was still incredibly versatile, effective, and the best use of a generic awakening gem on my account

He does not need suicides. He’s amazing with them, but he is still the best mutant in my opinion even without them. That’s from my experience using him throughout all modes and content in the game

Without suicides, he does like third of the damage he can do. Maybe fun rankup later, but not generic worthy

He’s good without suicides and he’s GREAT with them. I’d save the generic though until you can pump a ton of sig stones into him.

I’d also consider saving for suicides as well - you e got some really good, suicide friendly champs in your roster. I saved at the start of this year. Took me 2-3 months of arena grinding but it was worth it

I can second this (I haven't done Act 6 100% yet but everything else). I used 1 of my 2 ever generic AGs on him and I have never regretted it. He was my first sig 200 5 star and to this day, I don't run suicides. The fact that he does so much damage without you having to touch the opponent often is just too good. His tentacle attacks provide some of the best utility in the game as he can ignore passive damage back like thorns damage and he is poison and psuedo-bleed immune (heal from willpower). Believe it or not, he has even more utility than that! He has some insane regeneration off the sp3 and a nice regen off the sp1. He also counters debuff shrug off effects like masochism or Agent Venom/Kingpin/Crossbones/King Groot/etc. when the opponent has 10 spores on them.

I only say he is worth taking up without scuicides if he is sig 180+ or you run colossus consistently for the synergy because it makes colossus insane and helps his damage output

I really like omega since my four star carried me through act 4 and 5. I’m not sure if he’s worth a generic 5* awakening gem though since that’s so rare. He’s not a bad rank 5 choice if you do invest the gem in him.

You kidding? He's one of the best possible options for a generic AG. Only other ones I would use it on over him is Nick and Ægon. Even then, it would be a tough decision.

I’d go for it, suicides make him the op top 5 champ, but he’s still amazing without them, to be great he needs either high sig or suicides, both together he’s just godly

Do not do that if you aren't going to commit to the suicide masteries.

However, literally, all of your top champs are great with suicides - so I suggest you consider unlocking them.

Buddy he is really overrated champs don't spend anything on him if you aren't planning to use suicides, believe me there are so many better champ then him if he is not on suicides+high sig level, and there is no need to use suicides for any content if you don't want but it's really helpful for high tire aw if you always use Omega, ghost..(best suicide friendly champs)
